Hello. I work as a substitute teacher who gets paid by the day of actually working. As it's Summer vacation, I'm effectively out of a job. I've tried job hunting and haven't had any luck yet. Unfortunately I'm almost flat broke. To make matters worse, my car needs expensive repairs and won't last long without them.

I decided to try to take out a personal loan to cover living expenses and fixing my car to tide me over until the school year starts. I own the deed/title to my house and car. My living expenses add up to about 800 USD a month. My questions are: assuming I qualify for a loan, would it be a good idea to borrow more than I actually need, then pay it back into itself? What are some other options I can try regarding a personal or title loan? Is getting a loan a good idea in the first place? Thanks for the time.

I plan on having a yard sale soon. Just selling a lot of old clothes and stuff I don't use anymore. The problem is I haven't had one in like 20 years and I don't know what to charge people for that stuff anymore. What do yall usually pay when you go to yard sales around here?
