What has provided you with the greatest relief?

Started PT last week and just had my first experience with internal work. Although it left me pretty sore, I think it helped.

My biggest complaint right now is that my butt muscles are throbbing! Just hoping that gets better.

How do you deal with sadness when it comes to your kids?

Writing for my sister.

Her 30 year old son is a professional in a well paying job. He suffers from depression and has anger issues. He doesn’t have a partner, or any social life. His anger causes him to act impulsively and it’s beginning to catch up to him. He voluntarily went to a psych hospital and is now on medication and is in counseling. He has very supportive parents who worry endlessly about him. They will never cut him off.

My poor sister. She is just so sad.

Anyone is a similar situation? What did you do?

Consider booking excursion from outside vendors. Is there anything I should be aware of?

Taking a roundtrip to Alaska the end of May 2027 from Vancouver. 3 port stops are Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan.

I've cruised before and have booked excursions outside of the cruise line. However, I'm a little more nervous doing that on this trip, given weather considerations, and the need for tendering, should that become an issue.

I did book our Ketchikan excursion through Princess since I had some shipboard credit to use (from Costco).

Considering a whale watching trip in Juneau, but would like a smaller boat than what Princess offers.

Probably will do one of the train trips in Skagway.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Emerald to Alaska. Which cabin would you pick?

Would love an aft facing view for our Alaskan cruise, since we just had one in Norway.

There are a few aft facing cabins left, but all with some sort of support beam. 751 has the same support beam obstruction, but it is off to the side, as opposed to the middle.

Which one would you pick?

Are excursions booked through Princess refundable should you have to cancel the cruise?

We have some shipboard credit that we got through Costco. We’d like to use it to book an excursion (we have the Plus plan) so no real need for it there.

If I bought the balance of the excursion on a credit card, is that amount refundable if we have to cancel the cruise before the final payment is due?

Debating between Princess Emerald and HAL Koningsdam

Has anyone done both through Glacier Bay round trip from Vancouver? Which did you prefer?

We did our first Princess cruise in Norway and loved it, but had nothing else to compare it to.

We are in our 60s, active and healthy.

We are less concerned about the entertainment and more concerned about the quality of the food and drink venues, as well as overall look of the ship.

End of May or mid August for Alaskan cruise

Just came off of our first Princess cruise (Norway) and loved it. We are now considering Alaska (7 nights, round trip out of Vancouver, to include Glacier Bay). Seems we're a bit late in booking for June or July, so we're left with the end of May of mid August.

Opinions please?

Does Eurostar refund your money when the cancel?

Trip from Paris to London was cancelled for Friday 7/10.

Given the option to change, which I attempted to do. As I was doing it, other options were selling out. In the craziness of that, I switched the cities and booked the wrong direction! Immediately tried contacting Eurostar…useless. Filled out their online form and explained it all. Contacted my credit card also who will dispute the charge if I get no satisfaction from Eurostar.

Have to get to London for a cruise that departs Saturday at 4. Created a whole new booking, paying close to $600 more for 2 seats (no standard available).

Forgetting about the mistake I made, how do I get refunded what I originally paid for what they cancelled?

It’s pretty astonishing that they just don’t forget the various fares and just rebook you on something else, like airlines do.

Any insight?

What drinks/specialty coffees should we try with the Plus package?

Leaving next Saturday for Norway on the Sky Princess. Husband and I have the Plus package. We not big drinkers, but are looking forward to trying some new things.

Any recommendations?

Anyone have any tips for traveling with PFD?

I have not started PFT yet. Finally have an appt with a urogyn on Monday. According to my regular gyn. I may have a mild prolapse.

I have a 2 week trip to Europe planned for early July. My biggest pain right now is my butt! I'm uncomfortable sitting.

My symptoms range from UTI like to hip pain, etc.

Are there meds I should request? Vaginal valium? I already use vaginal estrogen and that has helped tremendously with the urinary symptoms, but nothing is touching this constant ache.

I've been doing some 360 breathing, stretches, etc. too.

How do you keep up your strength with a tight pelvic floor?

65F, yet to be diagnosed or start PFT.

Started with UTI symptoms, which seem to have subsided, but the heaviness, hip pain, even butt pain just won’t quit.

I’m trying to continue to do some light weight lifting but I’m afraid of further hurting myself. I suspect I might have a mild prolapse as well (no bowel problems, thankfully.

I’m frustrated because I know it’s important to keep your strength up as you age, and I now feel lime I have to stop.

I walk between 4-6 miles everyday and even that causes some discomfort but I just push through it.

Sky Princess Norway in a few weeks...bathing suits?

Does anybody really swim (maybe besides kids)?

The hot tub might be useful. Just trying to figure out if it's really worth packing bathing suits.

How do you carry your Medallion?

We haven't received ours yet but are having them shipped to our home. I know they come with a lanyard, but does anyone use a wristband of some sort instead?

I think having it on our wrists makes it more easily accessible.

Many thanks!

My butt is killing me!

My bones…not my anus.

Sitting on the heating pad helps, but it’s only temporary.

I played on the floor a lot today with my grandkids (not willing to give that up, regardless of how sore I am). They’re 3 and 1 so I also lifted them a lot.

Anyone else? Any tips. No matter what I do, I just can’t relieve the ache.

Do you find any supplements to be helpful?

Just curious. I take the usuals, but was wondering if there’s something else I should be using.

65F, and I hurt my pelvic floor over exercising. I haven’t started PT yet, but am scheduled to. I’ve been doing stretches (Dr Bri online) and just find my hips to be so sore afterwards, as well as my abdomen.

This all started with UTI symptoms (no UTI) and those symptoms have subsided (using vaginal estrogen for 5 years and increased usage which has helped).

No leakage at all (thankfully) but just can’t get past this uncomfortable feeling. No constipation issues either.

I do have an appt with a urogyn to be certain I don’t have a prolapse.

Dining has me so confused!

New to Princess and have only cruised one other time (RC). We are sailing on the Sky Princess in July and have the Premier package. This entitles us to 4 casual meals each (I know no reservations are needed).

Regarding eating in the MDRs: on RC, we had a choice of two dining times only, 5 pm. and 8 pm. We selected our time and ate each evening at the same time, with the same people and the same staff.

I am now attempting to pick dining times through the app, under something called "Dine My Way". It's giving me 2 choices of MDRs: Cielo dining room (it indicates private table) and Soleil dining room, where reservations can be made in 20 minute increments with multiple people at each table. I don't see a 3rd option for same time each night, etc. (which is totally fine with us and I'm wondering if Dine My Way has something to do with that because I thought there was a 3rd MDR on this ship).

I guess this is where my confusion lies. Can we pick a different time each night? It looks like that to me. What if we just don't show up and decide instead to go to one of the casual restaurants?

Anything else I should know? Thanks so much!

New to cruising. We disembark in Southhampton on July 18th and are interested in this service to London's Victoria Station (we are staying in that area).

I know we have to book via the cruise line, but can someone explain the logistics? Are we sitting there waiting for buses to fill up before we depart?

I'm just trying to get an idea of how long such a trip takes to Victoria Station.

I suspect I have a tight pelvic floor, and perhaps a mild prolapse. While I'm waiting for an urogyn appt, I've been doing some exercises (Dr. Bri's videos). They seem to be really helping, but my hips feel so sore afterwards and I have pelvic pressure. Is this normal?

I thought I had a UTI but got the all clear. Have had symptoms for months (urgency, burning, but no leaking). I am 65 and have been using vaginal estrogen for months.
