Canyon Endurace CF SLX 7 Di2

Canyon Endurace CF SLX 7 Di2

Hi everyone,

What do you think about this deal (2250e) ?
I have a feeling I’ll need to make a decision pretty quickly, so I’d really appreciate your opinion.

Does the price seem like a good deal for what you’re getting? And for those who have experience with an integrated cockpit, is it actually annoying in everyday use, especially when it comes to adjustments or changing the cockpit?

Also, which computer/Garmin mount would you recommend for this bike?

Thanks!

Scott Addict S or M – right on the borderline, need some advice!

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to decide between an Addict 30 in size S (52) and M (54), and I’m honestly struggling to make the call.

I’m 175 cm tall with a 79 cm inseam, so I seem to be right between the two sizes.

I went to a shop and tried both bikes. The salesperson told me that both sizes could work for me and that I should mainly trust my own feeling.
The problem is that on a short test, both felt good. I didn’t immediately feel that one was clearly too big or too small.

My impression was that the S felt a little more sporty/aggressive, while the M felt more comfortable and relaxed.
But after such a short test, I’m not confident enough to know which one would still feel better after a 2–3 hour ride.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the opportunity to properly test either size for a longer ride before buying.
I often hear people say that “if you’re between sizes, it’s easier to make a smaller bike bigger”. But I’m struggling to understand that in this particular situation.

With the larger M, couldn’t I simply remove some spacers if needed and use a slightly shorter stem to reduce the reach?

Whereas with the smaller S, if I find the front end too low, I can’t really increase the stack by much beyond what the frame allows.

Am I missing something here?
I’m looking for a comfortable endurance position rather than an aggressive race position.
What would you choose in my situation, S or M? And more importantly, why?

Please guide me here, I’d really appreciate some advice.
Many thanks!

Checkpoint sl 6 or 5

Hi everyone,

I’ve finally decided to buy a Trek Checkpoint, but I’m still torn between the SL 5 (€2,500) and the SL 6 (€3,200).

I definitely prefer the black color of the SL 5, but I really like the SRAM Rival groupset that comes on the SL 6.

Would it be possible to buy the SL 5 with the SRAM Apex AXS and gradually upgrade it to Rival later on? Has anyone done this before? Is it as simple as replacing the derailleur and shifters, or are there other parts that would need to be changed?
How much would that cost ?

I’d really appreciate any advice or feedback from people who have been in the same situation. Thanks!

Frame Storage

Do you think there’s any chance the next Cube C:62 gravel bikes will finally get in-frame storage?
I’d love to see Cube add a storage compartment in the downtube like Trek, Specialized, or Cannondale have on some of their models. Has anyone heard any rumors or seen leaks suggesting this could happen on the next generation?

Please help me choose my new Bike

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to buy a new gravel bike and would love to hear your thoughts.

I’m 176 cm tall with a 79 cm inseam, and comfort is by far my biggest priority. I’m looking for a bike with a relaxed, upright riding position rather than something aggressive or race-oriented. I’d also like a 1x drivetrain, and my budget is between €1,800 and €2,400.

At the moment, I’m mainly considering the Cube Nuroad SLX, the Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 Gen 3, and the Cannondale Topstone Carbon 3.

Has anyone here ridden any of these bikes? Which one did you find the most comfortable, especially for longer rides? If you think there’s another gravel bike that would suit what I’m looking for even better, I’d be happy to hear your recommendations.

Thanks a lot!

Bike fit help

Hi everyone,

I bought a Canyon Endurace CF 7 as a beginner (I realised afterwards that it was probably not the best choice for beginner). According to Canyon’s size recommendations, size S should fit me.

However, after trying different setups over rides of around 30–50 km, I keep getting pain in the palms of my hands and in my neck (I feel like I constantly have to lift my head up).

I’ve already tested quite a few adjustments (raising/lowering the saddle, handlebar adjustments, etc.) but nothing seems to help.

I was hoping to achieve a more comfortable riding position. Ideally, I think having the handlebars higher would help, but it seems the stem is already at its maximum height.

Thanks in advance if anyone can tell me whether the bike is actually too small for me, or if there’s still something I can adjust.

Merci d’avance !

Verfugbarkeit

Hi everyone,

does anyone know why the Cube Attain Race C:62 is unavailable in basically every store in Baden-Württemberg?

Is it still possible to order it through a dealer, or is there another way to get one?
I live near Strasbourg and could travel to a store next week if needed.

Thanks,
