When you're selling your gold between 10k and 18K, should a jeweler tell you what their cut is?

I have a good amount of gold to sell. Considering it is gold, should I expect the jeweler that wants to buy it to let me what percentage he's charging? If he doesn't is that a red flag or shady?? What percentage could I expect to pay for my gold? I did weigh everything and calculate with today's gold price on what it could be worth today. I am aware of the fluctuating market , even within twenty four hours.

Do you think this is something that I could possibly sell?

I've been wanting to make these for quite a while. I found really cool antique and vintage salt and pepper shakers, and this is my first one. I use tiny glass beads. These are a b coated. I then stick these stick pins in to make it look pretty for a desk or vanity. Let's face it, not many people these days wear stick pins and I have so many of them. What do you think this would be worth? Also, is there a way to make them not turn at all right now? I have them in there so they don't budge. But once the customer gives it, I'm sure they're going to loosen, how do I get it to not move? The pin is nearly the size of the hole. There's a tiny bit room. The only thing that I could think was literally sticking a little, amount of super glue in there, to hold it. The camera didn't look make 'em look as shiny and new looking as they are so please ignore that please. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Thank you so much. I love it!

Crystal clear moostoned w/ a blue flash center stone is a cat's eye

I found this beautiful necklace a couple months ago. It looked so perfect that I thought it was fake. I didn't realize until I got home that it was 14k. The only thing I could see was some kind of mark on the closure. Five of these stones are called, I believe anyway they are called, water moonstones. The center stone is a cat's eye moonstone. Any help in identifying what this actually is would be greatly appreciated. If allowed, what do you think the value could possibly be. It's not very long. I realized I don't have a picture of the back of this, it's open stones.

I forgot to say that these moonstones are crystal clear except for the blue flashing in them.

Suspicious mark

I took this bracelet to my jeweler and he confirmed with an X-ray machine that it is 14k and weighs 14 penny weight. It weighs a little over 21 grams. I love learning about jewelry! I still can't figure out the makers mark.

Suspicious mark

This is an update from an earlier post today. I purchased this yesterday at this point and it has a mark that says 14J10, well, I've tested it and tested it and tested it and it stands up to the acid. I tested it, as you can see in this picture, in the same spot on the bracelet 6 times and each time or each mark is still just as clearly visible through that acid as the first time. I let the first mark sit on the stone for about five hours , which , over that time span did not fade. I'm going to take it to the jewelry store on Wednesday to be xrayed to confirm whether or not it is indeed solid 14k gold , but as for now , I'm leaning toward this being solid 14k. It weighs on a postal scale 20 g.So I'm thinking that's probably incorrect , but it is very heavy.

The first picture is the 6 marks that I tested. The last picture or the second picture is the rest of the 14k solution on that final scratch and the scratches were put on the same spot on this bracelet.

I picked $3 for this bracelet, and I think I possibly found gold! 🇺🇸💚👣❤️🇺🇸

Should I put this on a vermeil chain?

Should I put this on a vermeil chain instead of the basic chain that came with it. This is a guilloche enameled pendant. It is beautiful and oh so vintage. Do you love it like I do?!?

Mysterious mark

I purchased this today at a thrift shop. It is not magnetic and a bit hefty. The only inscribed near the reverse next to the hidden clasp is, 14J10. Has anyone seen a mark like this one? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
