Despite evolving within an entirely separate solar system, the organism bears a striking anatomical resemblance to cephalopods native to Earth, particularly deep-sea squid species. This may represent a case of convergent evolution driven by similar environmental pressures.

The creature possesses a large central mantle capable of splitting apart during periods of agitation or predatory behavior. When opened, the mantle reveals a large bioluminescent purple organ or sac.
