As many of you know, the herbivore designs were inspired by the work of the paleoartist Zdeněk Burian. However, when you look at the carnivores, their designs seem based off of much more recent depictions, such as Jurassic Park.

Note that this isn’t me hating on the designs the carnivores ended up getting; I think they’re fantastic. I just find it strange that they didn’t get the same treatment as the herbivores.

Why do you think this is, and would you have preferred if they were in that style?

If so, what exact moment would you consider it to be?

Personally, I love the idea of a Titan that wishes for ecological balance, but unlike Godzilla and Mothra, decides that the best way to do this is to remove humanity from the equation.

I also feel that this could further delve into Godzilla’s overall relationship with humans, and why he tolerates our existence, even after everything we’ve done.
