Does Flinders St platform 1 connect to the Degraves St subway
As in the title - I’m not at all experienced with metro tunnel. Does platform 1 now connect to the subway or do you have to exit the station?

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster. I’m a 43M, and this week I crossed a major milestone, having lost 50kg (110lbs) since I started. (Now 120kg/264lbs)
My problem is that I’ve lost all the weight from my bum and am developing the loose skin “skirt” around my belly.
The result is that my ass is essentially concave and doesn’t hold up pants or underwear.
I’m going to the gym, I’m trying to build some glutes, but other than that I don’t think there’s much I can do - but this can’t be a unique problem, I wanted to ask how others deal with it?
Nearly every time I put mushrooms through the self service the attendant has to come verify that they are, in fact, mushrooms.
The other day I got through the self serve… and had a plain clothes seco follow me outside to once again confirm that my mushrooms are indeed mushrooms.
So what do they think I’m stealing?
I’ll take your “real” suggestions or your jokes at this point, my head had been spinning for 2 days since it happened. What do they sell that’s that small & valuable and could pass as mushrooms? The more expensive mushrooms?
My head has been spinning over a new cap since I bought the Switch 2, but the pricing and availability of the glass options, along with reading posts on here, has narrowed it down do WYM & Cloud Vortex.
The CV is a funny one, it seemed very popular early on, but doesn’t seem to get talked about any more.
This is probably a case where there’s no wrong decision, cos they’re both upgrades in the stock joystick?
If you prefer one or the other, could you please also share the airflow you went with?
I wanted to ask whether anyone had tried Wendy the Food Scientist’s (new?) seitan course.
I’m awful at seitan, and I’ve had great success with her tofu books, so I’m very curious to hear if anyone has any experience, and specifically why my results would be different using her method.

When I started searching the sub I found a thread from 6 months ago seeking recs for her tofu books, and people kept replying to it saying “did you get it? Is it good?” And there were no replies.
So I will answer it and say if you’re curious, buy it. I love tofu, but it doesn’t generally suit my cooking method where I like to batch cook for 3 days.
Wendy’s boiled tofu method makes it fit that style well.
So far I’ve tried the sticky orange tofu and tofu burger from “everyday cooking”, and a baked tofu then the Chinese hot pot from “tofu mastery” - all of them were outstanding, and have me incredible ideas and hope for ways I could adapt these recipes. The burger is particularly exciting, and I’ve used her method to adapt and improve a burrito mix that I make.
That’s my main criticism - I love recipe books, I love writing in them and adapting things and leaving post it notes through them. Wendy’s books being e-books are why I took so long to buy them, and it’s the worst thing about them.
It’s pertinent to point out that the 2 tofu books are very much a “set”. Tofu mastery isn’t really a cookbook - it’s a food science/cooking technique book that has an example recipe you can make. When it says there are 17 techniques? There are literally only 17 recipes.
With that said though, I’m so keen to try some of them. There’s a tofu reimagined section with a dough that becomes a bao and/or dumplings. There’s also a section on ph manipulation, which then becomes a crispy tofu.
Everyday Tofu is a more traditional cookbook, and while it only has 31 recipes in it, I feel like I could/would cook almost all 15 of the “hearty & satisfying recipes.”
From the recipes I’ve studied it also seems very, very healthy. I’m losing weight with very basic calories + protein counting, and nothing I’ve read strikes me as excessive calories. Even the burger probably came out to approx 30g protein for only 300 kcal (including the dressing, but not including a bread roll).
If you’ve thought about it, give it a go. Remember you’re dealing with a food scientist though - for someone who never really measures ingredients, I feel like it became really important that I do with this book.

This question about seitan turned into a long cookbook review about tofu - but it’s cos the books excite me, they’ve allowed me to expand my diet with healthy, great tasting food that works with my schedule, using my favourite vegan protein.
I wasn’t considering dipping my toe back into homemade seitan again any time soon, it’s only the fact that Wendy is offering her “course” that has me considering it.
Please help me reddit, I’m so desperate and friggen google AI is sending me in circles.
I’ve literally been put on medication to deal with the incessant low frequency bass noise coming from my neighbours apartment.
I have a noise log: my iPhone voice recorder literally shows the reverb, but won’t play the audio so the building won’t act.
I need an irrefutable way to record the audio to a MacBook or iPhone (although I believe the iPhone may still not record it?)
I’m going crazy. I’ve already gone crazy. I am so at my wits end and desperate for help,
I’m in a loop of contact microphone, expensive microphones that I’d have to import and would take a week, or sound data recorders - which might not solve my problem.
Please help me. I am out of options, and after recently losing my dog, which literally left me with nothing else except this incessant reverberation I’m scared I’ll flip out before I move. (I can’t afford to move.)
For 16 years my dog has been my rock and my anchor. She’s been the reason I’m still alive. When my psychosocial disorders really took hold, costing me my family, my friends, my home and my job, she was always there, and she always loved me.
I’m so conflicted over how it ended. We had an appointment for a CT scan 2 days ago (Tuesday) to investigate some serious issues . On Sunday we were in emergency, they sent her away and said “keep the appointment.”
On Monday she was worse - but the senior vet at our practice said “keep the appointment”. That night she crashed further.
On Tuesday I knew… she was so sick and she’d had enough, but I kept the appointment. I hauled her across the city, she spent 3 hours scared in hospital and ? hours recovering from anaesthetic… because I didn’t trust my instinct. I knew it was over, and I selfishly put her through it just so I had a definitive answer.
Then on Wednesday they told me that it was over, and it was urgent at risk of being traumatic and catastrophic.
I was so scared of doing it too early, hurting me - that I left it too late, hurting her.
We get to Wednesday night … she couldn’t get to my bed any more, so I gave her anti nausea & pain relief drugs and dragged my mattress to the lounge room floor last night. She slept in my arms all night, which she never does.
I got up Thursday morning and sat in my chair, and she just lay on my chest for hours, which she also never does- she knew it was over, she was seeking comfort and connection and saying goodbye, and it was time for me to do the right thing. It was beautiful and meaningful and it’s meant so much today.
She stayed laying on my chest until the vet came and gave her the injections, which happened early Thursday - her breathing was at the point that it became urgent. It was peaceful and spiritual and beautiful and I think gave me the closure that I needed.
I know the “experts” were saying keep the Tuesday appointment. But they were wrong. My instinct and my knowledge of my own dog were right, and I didn’t trust them. She suffered additional days because I didn’t trust my knowledge of my 15 year old dog. It will haunt me forever.
So I’m having a really hard time reconciling that this resulted in *me* getting the most perfect final hours that i possibly could’ve in this scenario while *she* was suffering.
I dint even know what to do next. I can’t even think of it. I need to deal with the notion that she suffered to give me closure and a “perfect goodbye.”
