Welcome to the first Weekly PlayStation Collector Finds!
Each week, I’m going to dig around and share some interesting physical PlayStation games I find, whether they're older games, imports, collector's editions, harder-to-find releases, or just games available at surprisingly good prices.
For #1, we're going back to the PlayStation 2. 🔥
I was browsing Play-Asia's PS2 selection and was honestly surprised by how many older physical games they still have available.
A few that caught my attention:
🎮 Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter – $23.99
🎮 Chaos Wars – $25.99
🎮 Capcom Classics Collection – $16.98
🎮 Fatal Frame III: The Tormented – $116.99
🎮 Dawn of Mana – $32.99
🎮 Katamari Damacy – $21.99
🎮 Street Fighter Alpha Anthology – $21.99
🎮 Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories – $19.98
🎮 Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 – $21.99
🎮 Street Fighter Anniversary Collection – $21.99
🎮 Mega Man Anniversary Collection – $19.98
🎮 Mega Man X Collection – $23.99
🎮 Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne – $25.99
Some of these prices surprised me, especially considering we're talking about physical PS2 games more than two decades into the system's life.

Next week I'll dig through another corner of the PlayStation library for Weekly PlayStation Collector Finds #2. 👀
Prices and availability can change.

Hey everyone,
I want to apologize to the community regarding the petition I recently started and promoted here.
When I created it, I genuinely did not realize there was already an established petition for preserving physical PlayStation games that had gained significantly more support and momentum.
After members of this community brought the existing petition to my attention, I realized that creating another petition was ultimately splitting attention away from an effort that already had a large number of people behind it.
That wasn't my intention.
My goal from the beginning was never to have my petition succeed or to take ownership of this movement. I simply care deeply about physical PlayStation games and wanted to do something rather than sit back and watch physical media potentially disappear.
I also want to acknowledge some of the criticism I received. While some comments got pretty heated, there were also people who made a very good point:
If we want our voices to carry as much weight as possible, concentrating our support behind one established petition makes far more sense than dividing signatures across several smaller ones.
I agree.
So rather than continuing to promote the petition I created, I'm going to support and share the larger existing petition with this community.
Existing petition:
If you already signed my petition, thank you. I genuinely appreciate that you were willing to support the cause. If you haven't signed the larger petition yet, I encourage you to consider adding your signature there instead.
And if you don't support petitions or don't believe they'll change Sony's direction, that's okay too. You can still support physical gaming by purchasing physical releases, supporting publishers that continue producing them, and ultimately voting with your wallet.
I also want to clarify something from my previous post. When I referred to our petition as "official," I meant that it was the petition being promoted by the mod team/community. I did not mean that it was officially recognized by Sony or that it was the definitive petition representing all PlayStation players. I understand why that wording bothered some people, and I should have been clearer.
I made a mistake by not researching existing petitions thoroughly enough before starting another one.
I own that.
But I'm also willing to correct it.
This community is about PlayStation collecting, and preserving physical games is something I believe is worth discussing regardless of whether everyone agrees on how we should go about it.
Going forward, I'd rather put this community's reach behind the effort that already has the strongest momentum.
No competition. No ego. No fighting over whose petition it is.
Just one bigger voice for physical PlayStation games.
Thank you to everyone who respectfully pointed me in the right direction, and thank you to everyone who cares about keeping physical media alive.
📀 Keep buying physical. Keep collecting. Keep the choice alive.

Collectors, we’re asking for your help.
As the video game industry continues moving toward digital distribution, we believe it’s important that PlayStation players continue having the choice to buy and collect physical games.
That’s why r/PlaystationCollectors is launching a community petition asking Sony Interactive Entertainment and PlayStation to make a long-term commitment to physical games.
• Keep disc drives available on future PlayStation consoles.
• Continue physical releases of major first-party PlayStation games.
• Whenever technically possible, put playable games on the disc rather than making physical editions simply download keys.
• Continue supporting physical PlayStation libraries and backward compatibility whenever possible.
• Recognize physical collectors as an important part of the PlayStation community.
If you prefer digital games, that's completely fine.
We want both.
Digital and physical gaming can exist together.
What we don't want is a future where the choice is made for us.
For more than 30 years, physical games have been part of PlayStation.
PS1. PS2. PS3. PS4. PS5.
Some of us have collections spanning every generation.
We want to make sure PS6, PS7 and whatever comes afterward can continue that history.
If you support physical PlayStation games, please sign it even if you aren't primarily a collector.
Then upvote this post and share the petition.
Our goal is to get this outside of our own subreddit and in front of the larger PlayStation and gaming community.
If enough players stand behind it, we can send Sony a message that's difficult to overlook:
Keep the disc drive.
Keep games on disc.
Keep collecting alive.
Keep the choice with the players.
Thank you,
The r/PlaystationCollectors Mod Team

One of the websites I use to add to my collection for some niche stuff
I sell Japanese and Chinese cards and booster boxes and packs. If you do rip test on a Japanese card, rip a common card to check for a light blue layer. English cards have a black layer and Japanese cards have a blue layer. All holos feel like a sticker because of the materials they use. It should not be an actual sticker. Im including pictures from a customer that thought the cards were fake but he ended up just ruining his guaranteed SR. You can see the light blue layer from the ripped cards.
I know the shiny scanner but is there a way to check for shiny raids or is it just random like normally is.
I have a Talonflame from 12/20/2020 for a guaranteed lucky.
I have enough candy to evolve but dont want to waste the evo to a regular one, much appreciated.
Hey guys, I have my spare account that I only used to trade to my main for lucky trades for sale. The research quests have been started but not completed. As you know these research quests are pretty rare now. One is the All In One #151 and the other is Whispers in the Woods. There's other rare shinies in the account as well but those are the highlights. Please give me some offers.
Took me about 2 hours to get done with this dashboard piece. Wrapped in forged carbon fiber vinyl to get rid of the dated woodgrain. Also got the push button replaced with racing yellow 👌🏽
I havent seen many posts of people with ET22. Google says they will poke past fenders. I need to know so I can go ahead an buy my dream wheels. I am trying to go for a square flush setup. Any advice?
I been trying to hatch this specific shiny for so long I lost track on how many eggs it took me. I feel empty now that its over 🥹
Just got home from work and this was waiting for me. I've never seen this in the wild before. Needed this 3 star too.
