Did all the jerseys with the original design have a sublimated stripe pattern?

Did all the jerseys with the original design have a sublimated stripe pattern?

I’ve been wondering about this for a while: did all jerseys with the original design have that subtle sublimated stripe pattern on the torso?

I’ve been looking at a ton of eBay listings and game photos from that era, and some jerseys clearly seem to have it (both Pro Player and CCM) while a lot of others appear to be completely plain navy blue/white.

My first thought was that the pattern just doesn’t photograph particularly well, so depending on the lighting (especially in an arena), it can be really hard to see. But then I came across some eBay listings with very sharp, high-quality photos where the jersey still looks completely plain to me.

So, can anyone in the fanbase shed some light on this? Was the sublimated striping actually present on every jersey, or were there different versions/production runs without it? And if you own one of these jerseys, does yours have the stripes?

Thank you.

These are the three cover art concepts that were proposed for Stadium Arcadium but ultimately rejected by the band.

I really like the second one. The concept kind of reminds me of the music video for "Californication."

Are Starter and Pro Player jerseys actually more comfortable than CCM/Koho?

I have a few 4th-gen CCM and Koho jerseys, and they're all really well made... the quality and durability are obvious, but the fabric itself feels a little coarse against the skin.

Oddly enough, my favorite jersey in my collection is my one and only Starter. Sure, the logo is a bit bubbly, but the material is so much softer and more comfortable. It just feels amazing to wear... so that got me thinking: is it fair to say that while CCM/Koho jerseys were higher quality and more durable overall, but Starter and Pro Player jerseys were actually softer and more comfortable to wear?

What's everyone's opinion/experience here?

edit: just to clarify, I'm talking about replica jerseys here, not authentics.

I just paid 36 bucks for this jersey. Honest opinion: did I get a good deal, or do you think I could've gotten the seller to go lower?

What do you think of this sweater?

I'm not a Ducks fan, but I kinda like the colors and how it looks in general. I found it online and the seller is asking 75 bucks for it. Basically I'm just trying to get a feel for it, whether it worth that much or how unique/rare this sweater is. When it comes to NHL, all my stuff are either CCM or KOHO, and I haven't heard that many good things about Starter.

Would you buy this sweater? And if so, how much would you pay for it? I just feel like, $75 is a bit too high.

Thank you.

Is there any downside to the Korean-made KOHO jerseys?

As far as I know, 4th-generation CCM and Koho jerseys were made in Canada, Indonesia, and Korea. The Canadian and Indonesian ones have glued-on crests, while the Korean-made jerseys have sewn-on logos. To me, that actually makes the Korean ones a bit more desirable.

I found a really nice Korean-made Koho jersey and I'm thinking about buying it, but I wanted to check with you guys first. Is there any downside to the Korean-made jerseys? Like lesser overall quality or whatever.

I have found a great jersey that looks great. The quality seems top-notch. The only thing that worries me is that there are these little white fluffy fibers around the outline of the logo.

Is this something that happens to Koho jerseys over time, or do you think the logo might have been glued on later? Or is it just the fabric fibers sticking out?

Other than that, the jersey is in superb condition. I'm only concerned about the logo outline. Is there anything I could do about those fibers? Will they get worse over time?

What do you think?

I'm looking for a WCE-era away jersey and found one that looks great. The quality seems top-notch. The only thing that worries me is that there are these little white fluffy fibers around the outline of the logo.

Bought my first Canucks jersey. It will arrive some time in the next 2 weeks.

I know the WCE era orca jerseys are not super popular with other fans, but I just absolutely love them. I wanted to get the away jersey first, but this was such a bargain I had to buy it. I'm still in the hunt for the other one though. And perhaps a gradient lol.

What did the Canucks' lines look like during the 2001-02 season?

Basically I'm in the mood for some west coast express era hockey, so I've decided to play some NHL 2002. Now obviously I know that Marc Crawford loved to shuffle his lines on a regular basis (even splitting up the twins sometimes), so i know there's no one right answer to this question... but still, I'd like to ice a team that at least would have been plausible at the time. So please share what you remember from that season.

  1. First line | I guess, we have an easy job with this one. Even though they did not start the season on the same line, by january the WCE was born. Until then, I think it was mostly Naslund - Cassels - Bertuzzi for most of the time, sometimes Klatt replacing Bertuzzi.
  2. Second line | Based on box scores and ice time, I'm tempted to run a Hlavac - Cassels - Linden scoring line, but i'm not totally sure. Who should even be the center here? Cassels or Linden?
  3. Third line | D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Klatt... I think i'm gonna roll with this, but i know that Bertuzzi was put with the Sedins a lot and Brashear also seen some ice time with the twins until he was traded. Towards the end of the regular season / during the playoffs, I think Warriner was their line mate. Correct me if i'm wrong though
  4. Fourth line | Cooke - Chubarov should be stables here i guess (based on time on ice statistics and games played), and right wing could be rotated between Druken, Ruutu, Letowski. Any other possibilities?

Defensive pairs | tbh, i have no idea what it looked like, but based on total ice time / games played, i imagine it must have been sth likes this

Ohlund - Jovanovski
Lachance - Sopel
Strudwick - Baron

...with Helmer rotated in on a regular basis on the third pairing. Let me know if someone is definitely on the wrong side though.

PP unit | I've seen a lot of Naslund - Cassels - Bertuzzi in the box score (even after january, once the WCE was established) which makes the 2nd powerplay unit a big mystery to me... was morrison even played on the PP? Who the hell is my 2nd PP unit besides Linden?

PK | Was Bertuzzi put on the PK? He did not come across to me as a big backchecker, but his size might have been useful. Did Naslund/Morrison play PK? Linden perhaps because of his faceoff skills? Sedins?! I could see Cooke or Ruutu eat some minutes here, but no idea tbh, so please help.

Goaltending is pretty straightforward; Cloutier and Skudra.

TLDR; How's this 5on5 line up?

Naslund - Morrison - Bertuzzi
Hlavac - Cassels - Linden (who's the center here lol)
D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Klatt
Letowski - Chubarov - Cooke
(healthy scratch: Druken, Ruutu, Warriner, perhaps Vasiljevs)

Ohlund - Jovanovski
Lachance - Sopel
Strudwick - Baron
(healthy scratch: Helmer)

Cloutier
Skudra

So, what do you think? I'm mostly interested in what Crawford actually put out during that season, but don't be afraid to have some fun with it.

I'm considering buying this jersey. Do you think it's legit or is it fake?

Its overall condition is great imo. My only concern is the shoulder patch placement. I know this patch was used on this jersey, but it seems a bit too close to the collar. In photos of players wearing the jersey, the patch appears to sit lower on the shoulder, closer to the sleeve. Is this normal, or could it be a sign that the patch was added later? What are your thoughts?
