I'm hoping Xbox’s disc-to-digital program gives Play Anywhere games their PC versions

With Microsoft’s disc-to-digital program being discussed, I’ve been wondering how it might work with Xbox Play Anywhere games.

Obviously, nothing has been confirmed about this yet, but I think it would be really cool if converting a physical Xbox disc into a digital license also gave you the PC version for Play Anywhere titles.

For example, I have a physical copy of Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox One. If that disc could eventually be converted into a digital license, it would be awesome if that meant I could also download the PC version through Play Anywhere, seen as this game has now been pulled from the Xbox store.

I’m not saying this is how it will work — just hoping that’s how Microsoft handles it.

Would you guys expect Play Anywhere entitlements to carry over from a converted physical disc?

Ayn Thor Lite - Is it enough for 3DS Emulation at the top end?

My son has ordered the full fat Ayn Thor and now I’m getting the itch to buy one myself 😂

The funny thing is, I know I probably won’t use mine anywhere near as much as he will. I already have a gaming PC and all the latest consoles, so this would purely be a casual handheld device for me.

I’m leaning towards the Thor Lite rather than the Pro because I actually think it would suit my use case better. It would also be cool to have both versions in the house and compare the Lite against his Pro.

My main use will be:

  • 8-bit and 16-bit retro games
  • DS and 3DS emulation
  • Some Dreamcast
  • Maybe pushing it with some GameCube emulation

I’m not expecting it to replace my PC or consoles, just something I can pick up for quick gaming sessions.

For anyone who has the Thor Lite, would it comfortably cover those needs?

It’s crazy to me how drastically different dosages affect different people

Been on Reta for 6 months now (even typing that seems crazy to me).

I started at 2.5 mg per week, then increased to 5 mg where I stayed for around 4 months. I’m now sitting at 7 mg and will see how I go from here.

My weight loss has been “OK” during that time. I’ve lost around 22 lb, but I’ve currently been stalled for about 4 weeks, which is why I’ve started titrating up again.

One thing I find really interesting is how different everyone’s response seems to be. I see people on here starting at 0.5–1 mg per week and getting amazing results, while other people are working their way up towards 10 mg.

I’m over 300 lb, and sometimes it feels like 5 mg barely made a difference anymore after being on that dose for so long.

I know this is going to be a long journey for me, but I’m OK with that if it works over time. I’ve got around 2 years’ supply stored, so I’m trying to be patient and find what works for my body.

It just fascinates me how some people seem to respond strongly to tiny doses, while others need much higher doses. I’m curious what’s actually happening biologically that makes one person respond to 0.5–1 mg while another person needs much more to get a noticeable effect.

Anyone else experienced this big difference in dose response?

Anyone else worried about increasing Reta too quickly with a long way still to go?

I've got a question for those of you who've been on Reta long term.

Been on reta for about 6 months and have lost around 25 lb. I still have roughly another 100 lb to lose.

The dosing has been:

  • 2.5 mg
  • 5 mg (stayed here for months)
  • Just increased to 6 mg this week.

I've always tried to keep my dose as low as possible because I don't want to race up the titration schedule and become too dependent on higher doses later.

The reason I increased is that I've been stuck for about 3 weeks. At the same time, I've also started weight training again after a few months off, which has noticeably increased my appetite.

The thing is, I can't really feel any difference from the extra 1 mg, so now I'm wondering whether I'll need to increase again.

My question is: what happens if you keep increasing your dose early in your journey? If you still have a long way to go, do you end up needing very high doses later just to keep losing, or do many people find they can stay on the same dose for long periods and continue losing?

I'd really like to hear from people who started with a lot of weight to lose and have been through the whole journey.

PS5 Pro vs PS6

As someone who owns both a PS5 Pro and a gaming PC, the recent PS6 rumours have made me question whether I’ll even buy one at launch.

If the reports are true that the PS6 will be more of a hybrid, similar to the Switch 2, that suggests it may not offer the big generational leap in graphics we’ve come to expect. Add to that news of physical discs being phased out, a potential £1,000+ cost of entry, and the likelihood that Sony will support cross-generation releases for the first 2–3 years, and I’m struggling to see the value in it.

Since my PC already handles third-party games at high settings, I mainly use my PS5 Pro for PlayStation exclusives. In that role, the PS5 Pro actually looks more appealing than ever—a powerful console that delivers Sony’s exclusives with excellent image quality and performance.

For the first time, I’m wondering if I can comfortably skip the PS6 for a few years. Is anyone else in the same position, or do you think the PS6 will still be a day-one purchase?

The PS5 Pro feels like the last true traditional console to ever be released.

I can’t put into words how much I love this game

This game has been on my radar for a while, and I only recently picked it up. I’m playing on PS5 Pro and, honestly, I’m obsessed.

I can’t quite explain it, but it just has a certain vibe. I don’t know if it’s the soundtrack, the atmosphere, the world design, or the gameplay itself, but everything comes together to create a really unique experience.

It feels like a blend of several genres. At times it reminds me of a modern Final Fantasy, mixed with some of the dungeon-crawling feel of Phantasy Star Online, with a touch of Soulslike combat thrown in as well.

I just wanted to share my thoughts because this game has genuinely been on my mind when I’m not playing it. It’s been a long time since a game has affected me in such a positive emotional way. When I’m not playing it, I’m looking forward to jumping back in.

Just in time for the World Cup… and GTA 6 🤣

So excited, my first 65” after my last 3 TV’s over the last ten years have all been 55’s. I’ve upgraded from the 2020 LG CX 55”, it served me well and was a work horse. I got Richer Sounds to price beat this with Saturday delivery, always a great service from them.

New Xbox boot up audio, is yours distorted or is it supposed to be like that?

I’m not sure if it’s because I’m an Xbox insider or it’s like this for everyone, but ever since the new green boot up has been installed, the sound of it is really distorted. Is it like this for everyone else?

Thinking of buying a refurbished C5 65" OLED from Currys

Does anyone have any experience buying refurbished OLED TVs from Currys?

If it's an ex-display model, I'm probably not interested because of the amount of screen usage. However, if it's a customer return or a repaired unit with relatively low screen time and a 12-month warranty, I'm definitely tempted.

My budget is pretty tight this month, so saving around £300 on a low-risk purchase is appealing. Has anyone gone down this route before? Are there any risks I should be aware of, particularly with OLEDs? It's a C5 65" OLED and when messaging the "seller" was pretty responsive and offered Saturday delivery for free. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/358629983910

Pointless post, but I wanted to share this.

I’ve had a 55” LG CX OLED TV in my living room for about 5 years as my main gaming screen for my PS5 Pro, PC, and Switch 2. C5 prices are good now so last month I picked up a 48” LG C5 OLED TV for the bedroom to use with my Xbox Series X, and honestly… I love it so much that my CX now feels inferior.

The brightness and whites on the C5 just pop so much more, while still keeping those deep OLED blacks the CX is known for. The whole reason I upgraded the bedroom TV was because once you get used to OLED, LCD just starts looking rough in comparison. My old bedroom Nanocell looked terrible next to it, hence the upgrade.

The problem now is the C5 has made me want one for the living room too, but it feels like an expensive upgrade when I’d still be sticking with the same 55” size that's already OLED. I think 65” would just be too big for the space.

OLED is class.
