Sun hoodies?
What’s a good sun hoodie with great protection but also doesn’t get too hot? Can we really trust them to protect us in the Aussie sun? Thinking of the 50upf Helly Hansen one.

Have you tried this?
I have 2 syringes (both in date, stored in the fridge- one 30 and one 60 days old). I could get 0.3ml from each with an insulin syringe to make a full dose of 0.6ml.
*I’m aware that this is against the manufacturer’s guidelines and comes with a risk.*
This would save me $100.
Just to be clear- this isn’t the full ‘golden dose’- I haven’t seen that since my first kwikpen! This is the overfill from the newer, stingier pens.
I’ve been using Tropeka green apple flavour, but even when I dilute it in 1L of water (instead of the recommended 400ml) it’s horribly sweet.
I like that it’s only 88 calories for 20g of protein, but I don’t like its taste.
Have you found one you like?
Where is it better to start and finish? I’ll probably spend a night or two wherever I finish before heading back to London to fly home.
Also wondering if anyone has used a luggage transfer service? (If one exists!).
Editing to add another question- if I was to stay 2 nights in one location for a full day’s rest- where would you suggest I do that?
How do you keep items like your passport, cards, cash etc safe? Obviously I know you must keep them ‘on’ you, take them to the showers, sleep with them etc, but what does this actually look like? Passports need to be dry and flat so what are you actually carrying them in?
Thanks in advance for any recommendations of products.
Has anyone else had trouble sleeping since starting mounjaro? I’ve had 4 weeks on 2.5 and coming up to my 4th shot of 5mg. Ever since my first injection, I’ve had trouble staying asleep. I’m also very fatigued during the day, although it is gradually improving.
Has this happened to anyone else? (Yes, I’m getting enough protein, water, and electrolytes).
Hi All,
I’ll be in the UK next year from Australia, visiting my son on his gap year in Surrey.
I want to do some long overnight walks and I’m really struggling to make some choices!
I need it to be inn to inn- no camping, however very basic accommodation is fine.
I don’t think I need luggage transfer but it might be nice as an option.
I’d like to walk for up to 2 weeks at a time, with rest days in nice locations.
My thoughts so far:
West Highlands Way (too wet, too many midges?)
Cotswald Way
Coast to Coast (will I be able to get accommodation?)
South West Coast Path- which is the best section?
I have about 6 weeks to spare in July/August into September (I’m flexible with dates).
I’m pretty fit and regularly walk 15-30km in a day- less if there’s a lot of elevation involved.
I’m interested in beautiful scenery, quintessential UK villages, and quaint pubs.
I’ll go anywhere in England, Ireland, Scotland, or Wales.
What are your best recommendations?
We are planning to do this walk tomorrow- is it possible to get a taxi or uber between the 2 towns after the walk? I know there are trains…
I’ve mentioned on here a few times how utterly terrible I felt after my first and second dose of 5mg after titrating up. Both times after taking on Saturday, my Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were a complete write off with unbearable fatigue, headaches, and nausea.
I had my 3rd on Saturday and I’m happy to say that while I didn’t feel great on Sunday, it’s now Monday and I’m feeling pretty normal.
So, don’t be put off!
And if so, would anyone care to share a rough itinerary?
I’m in the planning stages of my 2027 trip, during which I was hoping to complete the whole Camino. I had t picked a route yet, but can allocate 6 weeks in July/August. That’s when I have leave.
With 2027 being a holy year- should I just scrap that plan and do something else? If so, does anyone have any suggestions?
I’m not looking to be part of a sea of people, and prefer it to be a personal experience. I get that the last 100km will always be busy.
I’ve tried searching the sub but couldn’t really find anything. The brand is flooding my social media and I’m tempted to try their rain jacket and pants, but I can’t find much in the way of reviews.
Yesterday my husband told me I looked slimmer in my sunglasses 😂
I upped from 2.5 to 5mg and had 48 hours of misery- nausea, extreme fatigue, and headaches that barely improved with otc meds.
I’m on day 3 now and finally feeling somewhat normal.
Obviously everyone is different, but if this also happened to you, did it happen again after your 2nd dose of 5mg?
I’m honestly kinda scared of taking next week’s dose.
Editing to add- the headaches were definitely not due to dehydration- I drink 2-3 litres of water and electrolytes each day.
Winter has definitely hit and my body temp is way lower than my coworkers. Weight loss has really messed with my thermoregulation. I’ve discovered Uniqlo heat tech thermals- I’ve been wearing them under my normal work clothes and I’m so much more comfortable!
I keep seeing people mention psyllium but can that be used in the form of Metamucil?
I had my first 2.5 dose 7 days ago. I’ve just had the worst week of my life when it comes to sleep. I’ve been fine falling asleep, but I’ve been waking up anywhere from midnight onwards and really having trouble going back to sleep. I’m not wide awake- just not asleep. I’ve tried:
Good sleep hygiene- no screens for an hour before sleep
Magnesium
Melatonin
Window open (cold room)
I never drink coffee/caffeine after about 7am, and I haven’t had any alcohol.
I exercise- get around 15k steps each day (usually afternoon) and I work full time.
I don’t get what I’m doing wrong- this has never happened to me before.
Is this a common side effect of mounjaro? How long will it last?
