Can someone please help me understand the MMRV vaccine schedule?

Can someone please help me understand the MMRV vaccine schedule?

Hi everyone,

My baby is about to turn 1 and is due their first dose of the MMRV.

My question is - why does the NHS say that the first dose of the MMRV for babies born on or after 1 January 2025 is to be given at 1 year, whereas the 1st dose for babies born between 1 September 2022 and 31 December 2024 is to be given at 3 years and 4 months?

I want to totally transform my body (10+ kilo weightloss plus body recomp) while breastfeeding. Can I do it in a year?

Hi! I'm a year pp and am starting a 1-year "transformation" journey on Monday. Postpartum has been really tough on my physical and mental health, and I'm excited to get back to feeling like "me." There's a wedding I have to attend at the end of this journey, which provides a good "goal" for me to work towards. The thing I'm struggling with most is the anxiety that my efforts will be for nought so long as I am still breastfeeding.

I plan to breastfeed for as long as my baby wants to (which could mean for the entirety of the next year and beyond, but he is on three meals a day, and my period is back). But I'm also capable of being extremely disciplined, so I want a bit of reassurance that breastfeeding will not hold my progress back so long as I "lock in."

Here's my plan:
Exercise per week
- 3x weight sessions
- 2x low intensity cardio (walking/running)
- 12 weeks out from the wedding, I intend to add in a weekly reformer pilates class

Food
Prioritising dense, low-calorie foods, but not being overly restrictive, especially in the beginning. Towards the end and before the wedding, I plan on cutting out inflammatory foods and lowering my salt intake.

I currently weigh 66 kilos at 168cm and am a UK size 10.
My goal is to get down to 55 kilos and go back to a UK size 6.

Is this possible?

Postpartum mom struggling with body image and identity and hoping a classic flap will help... but unsure of where to start!

Hi everyone!

As the title reads, I'm a first-time mom who's struggling a little. I'm on a journey of reinventing myself, which includes reinventing my wardrobe, and I've decided to take the leap and purchase my dream bag, which (perhaps unoriginally in a sub full of proper Chanel connoisseurs!) is the small black classic flap bag.

Money IS an object, and I am primarily considering the pre-loved route. I have the following questions:

  1. Would you go lambskin or caviar?
  2. Would you go silver or gold hardware?
  3. I plan on going to a reputable reseller (i.e. Farfetch or Selfridges). What should I consider before purchasing? Serial number, authenticity card, etc.?

Some context:

  1. I do not plan on purchasing another Chanel bag anytime in the near future, so I need this bag to be timeless and easy to pair with the entirety of my wardrobe (which is why I'm going with the black, small classic flap route).
  2. I do not plan on wearing this bag very often. It will largely live in its box in my wardrobe, unless I'm going somewhere special. My priority is luxury, not durability.
  3. This is going to sound so gauche, so I apologise in advance, but I want something that says "old money" (sorry!!!!!!) - not necessarily "fashion forward" or "flashy."

Please tell me if there's anything else I should consider. Thank you so much for reading <3

EDIT: I'm also open to the mini! If I go the mini-route I'll go first hand, if I go the small-route, I'll go pre-loved. I'm a bit stunned by the price difference between the mini and the small, given that the size difference isn't all that much...!

Trying to find reinvent myself postpartum - looking for my first scent...

Hello everyone!

I'm a first-time mom who is 11 months postpartum. I want to spend the next year reinventing myself to give myself an identity beyond being a tired/disheveled/overworked mom. Part of this process involves finding a scent. Might be sacrilege to admit on a perfume sub, but I have never owned a perfume before! I don't know why - I guess I've always found the world of perfume to be a bit overwhelming. But I'm ready to change that.

I don't really know what I'm looking for, but I do like the following flavours:
- vanilla
- oud
- bergamot
- patchouli

And the following auras:
- Mysterious
- Deep and full-bodied
- Womanly and feminine (as opposed to girlish - not sure if I'm wording this correctly!)

I think these characteristics are quite "heavy" and "nighttime" coded, so I don't know if I should be exploring other scents for the daytime... but I'm open to all ideas! I'm also open to "mixing" scents if you think that's a better approach!

Thank you in advance :)

Hi everyone!

I'm a FTM who is eleven months postpartum. My LO is breastfed on demand (no bottles), and as we get closer to the 1-year mark, I have started to think about weaning. I have a background in child psychology, and the thing I am most concerned about between the 0-3 year mark is keeping my LO's cortisol levels at a minimum.

This objective has informed many of the parenting decisions I have made so far (i.e. exclusively breastfeeding on demand, cosleeping, no childcare, no sleep training, etc.) and some of the decisions I plan on making down the road, one of which is to let my LO self-wean when ready.

However, the lack of sleep and the physical demands of constantly being "on" are starting to take a toll on me, and I can't fathom a world in which my LO is 4-years old (for example) and still being breastfed. I know it's unlikely, but I know it's also not impossible.

Therefore, I want to know if there is any research that supports gently weaning baby (as opposed to letting them self-wean) that doesn't impact their cortisol levels or expose them to unnecessary levels of stress. If the research is aligned with the precepts of attachment/evolutionary parenting, that would be even better, but of course not necessary.

Thank you in advance.
