I updated to the new beta of Poweramp which now supports bit perfect output of USB audio but discovered that when playing 24/44.1kHz tracks, that it's playing as 16/44.1 on my headphones. Bowers why would you not support that bit depth & sample rate????
Yesterday, I updated to the latest version of Bluetooth Codec Changer & they introduced a feature called live bitrate which shows the bitrate the bluetooth codec is transmitting audio at. I've always had my LDAC devices set to output @ the maximum quality & when I was playing a 44.1k khz track, it showed the live bitrate was 606kbps then I switched to a 96khz track & that showed 660kbps so all of this time it appears that my phone wasn't transmitting the optimal quality even though it's set @ optimized for audio quality. Those 2 bitrates are the middle tier LDAC option. Is Samsung intentionally capping LDAC @ 606/660kbps? I wonder if it's the same thing on Pixel phones or not.
I just used this stuff in my Big Green for the 1st time & it looks like it did a pretty good job. The instructions said to fill to the cap line 4 times. I filled some water to the cap line & then poured it into a measuring cup which measured 2 oz. Are they suggesting to use 8oz of this per refill?
For those who use the PX8S2 via usb, do you use the supplied cable or a different 1? I'm considering getting 1 of the Audioquest cables for mine.
I recently installed the Plezy for Plex app on my Cube a few days ago & have been experiencing some unstable performance. Some shows or movies will play then others will show a black screen & the progress bar will go in & out. I tried this on my FireStick Max 2nd gen & it seems likes it works better on there than on the Cube. Strange how as the Cube has more processing power than the FireStick. A new version of the app was released today & still has glitchy playback on the Cube.
I installed the new 15.0 beta which now says supports bit perfect playback for USB DACS & when I plugged in my DragonFly Cobalt, it still shows a blue light when playing 44.1khz tracks which means it's being resampled to 48khz. It would show a green light if it was sending 44.1khz natively. I went through the different usb options & enabled bypass processing but it doesn't change anything & 88.2khz tracks are being resampled to 96khz. Anyone else experiencing this?
