I stopped stress shopping

I’ve read about how GLP-1s are being studied for addiction and compulsive behaviours but I didn’t expect it to just outright kill my urge to go onto amazon and just start buying random things at 11 pm. It’s like the same dopamine loop that made me crave for food also made me crave getting packages on my doorstep. So for anyone else who has noticed a drop in random spending, you aren’t alone because I’m going through it too. Like addictions just stopped being a big deal now because of these drugs and that’s just a really good benefit on top of the weight loss.

injection sites and needle size, what's everyone using

okay so i have a genuine thing about needles and i've been stalling on starting because i can't decide where to inject or what gauge to use and i keep psyching myself out every time i try to just do it. i know belly, thigh and glute are all options but which one is actually the least uncomfortable for a first timer. also people keep mentioning different gauges and i have no idea what i'm looking at. not embarrassed to admit i need this explained pretty basically

Built a browser extension that helps detect overpriced products online

Over the past year I kept seeing the same pattern online:

A product blows up on TikTok or Instagram, gets rebranded by multiple stores, and suddenly people are paying 2-3x more for the exact same item.

Started happening a lot with my parents too, so I built a small Chrome extension that quietly compares the product against other listings while you browse.

The goal wasn’t really “deal hunting,” more helping people avoid obvious markups and duplicate listings pretending to be different products.

Still improving the matching system, but it’s been surprisingly useful already.

Would genuinely love feedback from people here on whether this is something you’d actually use or not.

Did cardio eventually become something you enjoyed mentally?

When I first started doing cardio consistently, it honestly felt like a chore most of the time. Now I’ve noticed I actually feel mentally worse on days where I don’t move enough. Curious if other people experienced a similar shift where cardio slowly became more about stress relief/mental clarity instead of just fitness goals.

Is chiptuning our Fiestas in 2026 actually worth it?

So I was grabbing fuel with my 2017 Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost yesterday and got chatting with a guy in a tuned ST who swears his box gave him more punch and better MPG. That convo sent me down a late-night Google spiral on tuning modules instead of sleeping. I drive like 70% city, 30% motorway, and with fuel prices being what they are, I’m trying to squeeze a bit more fun and efficiency out of the car without nuking reliability or insurance. I’m seeing mixed stuff online - some people say remap or nothing, others say these plug-in boxes are fine if you keep it mild. I might be looking at this the wrong way, not sure. One of the things that kept popping up was Gän Tuning and similar plug-in chips that claim around 30% more power and slightly less fuel use, with app control for eco/sport, quick install, etc. Has anyone here actually run a box like that on their Fiesta long term? Any engine issues, warranty/insurance headaches, or is it basically set-and-forget? Would you go box, proper remap, or just leave it stock?

Why does healthcare feel so reactive instead of proactive sometimes?

I know a lot of this probably comes down to how the healthcare system is structured. But lately I’ve noticed how much of healthcare feels reactive instead of proactive. A lot of the time it seems like the goal becomes preventing things from getting worse rather than improving long-term function and quality of life. Maybe that’s unavoidable in certain situations, but it does make me wonder whether medicine is slowly shifting toward more preventative and regenerative approaches over time. Curious how others see it.

Is buying concert tickets from “resale” sites actually safe in 2026?

So I’ve been going to shows for years, but mostly small venues where I just buy straight from the venue site or Ticketmaster. Last weekend at a friend’s birthday, someone mentioned they got Champions League tickets and Bruno Mars tickets from a third-party site and it got me thinking about using those for bigger concerts.

I’ve been eyeing a couple of big arena shows (Celine, maybe some stadium gigs when bands tour Europe again) and the official tickets sold out in like 2 minutes. I started googling and found a bunch of sites, Seatpin popped up in a few threads, plus a bunch I’ve never heard of. Now I’m kinda overwhelmed.

Maybe I’m overthinking this, but I’m scared of getting turned away at the gate after dropping a ton of cash. Have any of you bought tickets for big concerts or football matches through these types of sites? How do you tell what’s legit vs sketchy, and is there anything you always check before buying (payment method, delivery type, name on ticket, etc.)?

Would love any horror stories or success stories so I know what I’m getting into.

Is reverse image search for social media actually safe/legit in 2026?

So this came up after a coworker showed me a fake Tinder profile using his pics, and now I’m kinda paranoid my own IG/TikTok stuff is being reused somewhere.

I know about Google Images/Yandex, but they’re pretty bad for finding actual social profiles. I started looking into “face recognition search” sites that claim they can find accounts across IG, Facebook, TikTok, X, etc. A bunch look super sketchy, some look more polished, and one of the names that popped up was https://face2social.com/ while I was doomscrolling at like 1am.

Now I’m second guessing everything - is it even smart to upload your face to sites like this to see if your pics are being misused? Do they actually work or is it mostly hype and data harvesting? Maybe I’m overthinking this, could just be me being anxious.

Has anyone here tried these face-recognition social search tools? Did they find legit matches? Any privacy red flags I should watch out for, or specific services you’d recommend avoiding/using instead?
