The Number of "I have medical conditions - can I get a discount?" messages have gone up.

So, Ive been selling on ebay since the late 90's. In the past 12 months, the number of ebay messages ive gotten stating "I have "medical conditions", can I get a discount?" have increased. My standard reply has always been "I'm so sorry! No."

Have you all seen an increase?

My First Painful Event...

Here's my details: SW 274lbs, 6'0' Male. 2.5m dose. (im a new born, lol)

1st shot on July 30

2nd shot August 6.

ZERO side effects - Going great... up to yesterday. 70% appetite suppression in the past 9 days. Eating very little, focusing on healthy protein and veggie smoothies. 1 scrambled egg per day. lean proteins and cooked veggies throughout the day. Exercising and resistance training 4 days a week. Slight fatigue shortly afterwards.

Yesterday, I had a STRONG craving for a hamburger. OMG it was SO delishes. 3 minutes after I ate the last bite, I burped up burger and the strongest acid I've ever had in my life. So bad that it injured the back of my throat on down... Took two Tums immediately. Gave instant relief. I guess that is my body's way and saying "HEY! Dont ever eat that with Zepbound again!"

Im going to be very careful going forward. Can anyone else relate? Am I correct in my assumption that this is the Zepbound side effect?

Thanks!

South Florida - New White Concrete Tile Roof - Can I / Should I seal it?

As the title says - I have a brand new white tile concrete roof. It looks beautiful. I want it to STAY beautiful. Can I or Should I "seal" the roof? Is that even a thing? Or just call a softwash roof cleaning guy when it gets dirty?

Interesting experience. Not a complaint.

Many posts here are complaints. I like to post good experiences as well. This happened to me 8 months ago and didnt post about it because the problem you are about to read was fixed by the roofer - so no need to complain. Roofer has 4.9 rating on Yelp and Google reviews. Here's my story.

I had an issue 8 months ago where my roofer did a re-roof and while they were stripping the old, the chunks of old hardened black underlayment fell down my kitchen vent hood exhaust. No one noticed until I cooked dinner that night and I put on the fan - all i heard was loud "chunk chunk bang bang" of the old roof pieces inside my vent fan - then all noise stopped and you just heard a electrical humming. I turned off the vent. Called a handyman - he removed the entire vent hood and saw inside the barrel fan blades were shredded and a bucket full of roof material. Called the roof project manager, he came right over - 7pm - saw the problem, apologized and said "they didnt seal the hole before they continued to strip the old roof. I am so sorry. We'll take care of everything." While the new roof install continued over the next few days, we agreed id buy a new vent hood (got it from amazon). 3 days later, the hood was delivered, project manager wrote me a check for $1,000 to cover the cost of the new hood, and the handyman fee i paid initially to figure out what the problem was. They had their guy do the new install and all was fixed by the 7th day of the initial break. WHILE the roof guy did the installation, he saw exposed wires in the attic where the old vent hood was installed. They called an electrician of theirs to come over. took pictures, showed me the problem, fixed it, and gave me new pictures of the wiring.

Stressful? Yes. Worried? No. Professionalism all the way. High rated roofer proved exactly why they are highly rated.

The relationship between mileage and price?

Universal question for all car brands.

What is worse, a newer car with high miles for a lower price, or same year car with low miles for a higher price?

My options:

a 2023 Genesis G70 with 74,000 miles is $23,600.

or

a 2023 Genesis G70 with 23,000 miles is $27,800.

Thanks!

Looking for help.

I pay $305 a month - I have 4 tivo's - all with cable cards. One tivo now gives me the "This channel is not authorized. Contact your cable provider for more information. (V58)".

Yes Im a Tivo user. Yes I know... they are dying off... And yes, I know... Comcast no longer sends new cable cards.

But.... This happened to me 5 years ago and the rep was able to "refresh" or "re-hit" the cable card to fix it. I know Comcast no longer service cable cards, but Im hopeful they might still be able to re-pair the card as that is my only option.

Thanks in advance.
