Star rating not working properly after updating to Lightroom Desktop 9.4.1 (MacOS)

For instance, when I assign 3 stars to a photo, the next photos also show 3 stars even though I haven't actually assigned any to them yet.

This is only happening with stars, not color labels or checkmark/X flags.

Anyone else seeing this bug?

Happy Caturday

My cat had been staring straight at me from across the room, but of course as soon as I lifted the camera, he gave me what he considers his best side.

edit: whoops, didn't mean to start the weekly Caturday thread,. Sorry, mods!

Looking for a list of animal rescue organizations registered with National Social Service of Ukraine

From what I've been reading, only organizations registered with the NSS can issue an invite to a volunteer so they can apply for a D-10 volunteer visa.

I've sent out a few emails but thought I'd check here, too. TIA.

I'm fortunate to live next to a very pretty stretch of the Mohawk River. I'm doing as much after-work and weekend kayaking as I can while the long days and good weather last.

I've been launching at multiple spots on the Mohawk, but so far my favorite is the one right down the street from my home.

Irix manual focus lenses don't get near enough love on the photography subreddits

Here's some shots from my Firefly 15mm f/2.4 wide angle and Dragonfly 150mm f/2.8 1:1 macro, which is also an outstanding portrait and general use lens. Both paired with the Canon R6mkII, which has image stabilization and very useful focusing guides.

The lenses: https://ibb.co/QvbTTNPY

Firefly 15mm: https://ibb.co/B2cSMF3g

Dragonfly 150mm: https://ibb.co/FcXRp2r

Designed in Switzerland and manufactured in South Korea, you'd have to spend substantially more money to find anything comparable.

I own a good selection of Canon L and Sigma lenses, but every time I use one of my Irix lenses, I end up asking myself why I don't use them more often??

Burnt Hills Associates Rowing Boat House

Stopped there yesterday for a look around. Is this in the Capital District or adjacent?

Recommendations for drivable scenic overlooks?

Looking for drivable spots to photograph the Adirondacks with my wide angle lens.

Green and White Mountains recommendation also gladly accepted.

TIA!

I was kayaking a small lake in Scotia, New York and saw this on someone's back porch. Please know that many of us here are on your side. Slava Ukraini.

Recommendations for affordable, casual French cuisine in/near Old Montreal?

I'll be visiting Montreal soon for a long weekend. I'd especially like to try local takes on beef bourguignon and coq au vin, but also local French-influenced Quebeci specialties.

Merci

Do you slightly under inflate your board?

My board recommends 12-15 psi but I always go with 11 psi. My theory is that it performs well at that psi and I’m not stressing the seams, especially on hot days. Correct or incorrect?

Here's another sweetheart that's been at the shelter too long!

This is Grace, hanging out with the lead volunteer at Animal Protective Foundation.

Grace came to the shelter in late March, in a state of neglect that needed some TLC from the staff and volunteers. She has recovered magnificently and is now ready for a peaceful, loving home.

We have been inspired by how Grace has maintained her sweet, loving demeanor despite what she had experienced. FYI, the shaving was merely to remove matted fur, not from surgery. Her gorgeous orange coat is growing back beautifully!

Her adoption is sponsored, meaning that all fees are covered. To meet Grace, please visit Animal Protective Foundation in Glenville.

Kayakers/Paddleboarders/Canoeists: where are your favorite launch spots that are less than an hour from the Capital District? Last season I hit the nearby reservoirs, but this season I'd like to explore the Mohawk and Hudson.

Man, I love living in the Capital District!

This is from Lions Park in Niskayuna. Very easy to stop there on the way home from work, to destress on the Mohawk River.
