My fantasy team “Give Yer Balls a Tug” is killing it!
Won this week too, so 4-0.

Picked up some dollar coins someone turned in, most were early Sacajawea dollars and early presidential in customer rolls. A few were these machine rolled that I presume went from bag to roll and are uncirculated. eBay has sold listings for $35 plus shipping for the exact same unopened roll.
Is it even worth keeping these to sell one day or is inflation going to eat up any potential profit? Or just keep them for grandkids pirate money?
I think I remember boiling white vinegar and then dumping on the peppers… just found it in back of pantry… should I toss it?
Edit: I packed this jar in 2015, not 2105
Evidently I put some garlic cloves and salt in there… taste sour and briney not hot at all but flavorful I think I’ll bottle some up and put it on the table and see what happens ;)
Needless to say they didn’t text back after that.
Found this nickel colored GW and figured it was just a plated novelty coin. But did see there is an error where some didn’t get the final gold colored coating. Pic from left to right is a normal GW that weighs 8.0 grams, next are two gold plated novelty coins that weigh 8.15g, the nickel colored one weighs 7.94g.
I’m staying at a hotel on the Chattahoochee River for a few days w my wife for her work event. Decided last night to make a trip to Walmart for something to try my luck this morning on the river since she didn’t mention we were on a river and thus I didn’t bring any tackle. Was going for the elusive Shoal bass (a species only native to this river system) but I think I only got spotted bass (it’s possible the one is a shoal w the continuous fins).
I’ve caught Marlin, Sailfish, Stripers, Snapper, Tarpon, Musky, etc etc etc. But catching these awesome little fish at 6:30am from the bank was just as great of an experience. 10/10 loved it!
Still the biggest one I’ve gotten. Crazy how that works.
Two 90% silver halves, two 40% silver halves, seven 1987 P&D and one 1987 S proof. We have only found four 1987 previously out of estimated 100 boxes. Keep grinding people!!!
Gold plated novelty $ coin top right w two S proofs underneath in the $ coin box.
Added two $1 boxes to my weekly bank order since halves have low find rates and I already get two boxes of them. Surprisingly we have found a lot of San Francisco proof coins mixed in.
This weeks finds: Top left Gold plated dollar coin then platinum and gold plated Sacajawea. The rest of the $ coins below are San Francisco Proofs followed by two silver half's that were found.
Dad and I took my cousins son fishing the other day on lake Hartwell. He had never caught a fish, and this was his first of 9 that day. My Dad loves taking people and getting them hooked on fishing more than he does reeling them in himself.
Pulled this last night. It’s a 2020 Peratrovich dollar coin but has a completely flat rim which it would normally have the date, mint mark, Pluribus etc etc. Saw some earlier dates online with this error but none from 2020. Also there were only 1.4 and 1.2 million minted (P & D respectively). Any guess on comps and worth?
Also show and tell on this after market platinum/gold plated one we found that was pretty sweet and does hold some value as a novelty item.
I’m assuming it’s a third party plating type thing that was sold on late night ads. Only comp I found that looked the same was from a platinum/gold plated set on EBay. But to find in a circulated roll is wild. Thoughts on ID?
Just the wife and I tonight so I went and got a big ribeye, 1.7 pounds. Put it in the oven at 250 till it got to 115 (about 40 min). Then pulled, let rest 10, threw it on the gas grill at 450-500 for 2 min per side. Served with baked potatoes, green beans, and a skewer of grilled shrimp each.
My standing order is two half boxes a week, one came in as a $1 box, which I took of course. Found 9 proofs and 5 low mintage NIFC. Half box yielded one proof. Toning in the bottom right Sacajawea is pretty sweet.
