Considering baby names and ran across Jayma pronounced “Jay-ma” literally like it’s spelled. So many people see it and say “Ja-mya” or some other abomination like “Ja-mi-e-ah.”
Don’t want to give a beautiful name that will get tragedeigh pronunciations or is that just a sign of the times/education system/reading level?
As a nurse educator, I’ve found it challenging to keep in touch with students after graduation, even though I’d love to continue supporting them as they prepare for the NCLEX. I’d really appreciate any ideas, tips, or best practices!
Was woken up for the hundredth time by my noisy upstairs neighbor around 6 am which is 2 hours before I want to be up and ordered these out of desperation.
I’m losing my mind. My upstairs neighbor mostly sounds like she stomps when she walks but is clumsy (drops things) a lot also. I also hear her opening drawers sometimes but mainly it’s the stomping that is the most disruptive, common and bothersome.
Their lease is not up until January so I am just trying to make it the rest of the year. The apartment is wood framed so everything is louder than it would be if it were concrete.
I am a nurse and have had to pick up the midnight to 7 am part of night shift (need to sleep during the day now) which has exacerbated the noise issue as I am not able to sleep enough now. I also work at my full time job from home during the day and she works from home and over all does not leave the house much ever.
I tried talking to them twice. Management says they spoke with them twice. Only the first time worked and she was quiet for about 2 weeks.
Has anyone had a peace (and quiet) offering work? Including noise dampening slides for her, treats for their dog and chocolates for the boyfriend and her to share.
Gotcha Day was Tuesday for my fosters Coco & Stormy 🤍 Coco was adopted my my co-worker friend so I will get to check on him which I love! Anyways, his last night as my foster I played Disney’s Coco movie and when the Remember me song came on I picked up each of them and sang to them while we danced 😹 that song is so perfect as a foster send off!

They named him Coco after the movie 🤍
Anyone have a generator you recommend that is apartment compatible so maybe more of a power station (not gas fueled.) Just need to be able to power my laptop and cell phone if a storm causes power outage and I work from home.
Also, if anyone has a good back up plan for power outage if you WFH please share.

The bottle is a little on the expensive side ($25) but I would like to have something other than standard bottles for little ones who have a hard time going from syringe to bottle.
Or can you recommend any bottles easily accessible in the US (Amazon, national chain stores) that aren’t the standard 2 mL generic one?

My heart is so full! I had to pause fostering to accommodate work travel commitments so these are my first fosters of the season 🤍 my poor pet resource center had to make the decision to combine two litters (two girls with two boys of similar age) to accommodate all the needs coming in one after the other. I just hope more people decide to foster and TNR is very successful this year!
