Oxford probably has an absurd number of mutual crushes that never go anywhere 👀

Confession pages always felt strangely one-sided to me.

Someone anonymously posts about a person, everyone tries to decode which person they’re talking about, people speculate for a while, and then the whole thing disappears.

But realistically there have to be so many situations at Oxford where both people secretly like each other and neither ever says anything because everyone keeps overthinking it.

Feels like the university is probably full of unfinished “almost” stories 😭

Lancaster probably has way more mutual crushes than anyone realizes 👀

Confession pages always felt strangely incomplete to me.

Someone anonymously posts about a person, everyone spends a while trying to figure out who it is, friends start joking in the comments, and then the whole thing disappears.

But I keep wondering how many “almost” stories exist at Lancaster where both people secretly liked each other and neither person ever found out because nobody wanted to make the first move.

Feels like this probably happens way more than people admit 😭

Exeter probably has way more mutual crushes than anyone realizes 👀

Confession pages always felt strangely one-sided to me.

Someone anonymously posts about a crush, everyone in the comments starts guessing who it is, people joke about it for a day, and then it disappears.

But I keep wondering how many “almost” stories exist at Exeter where both people actually liked each other and neither ever found out because nobody made the first move.

University of Leeds probably has hundreds of mutual crushes going nowhere right now 👀

Confession pages always felt oddly incomplete to me.

Someone anonymously posts about a person, everyone spends a few hours trying to figure out who it is, friends start tagging each other, and then the whole thing disappears.

But at a place as social as Leeds, there have to be so many situations where both people secretly like each other and neither person ever says anything.

I genuinely can’t tell whether this is cute or painfully tragic 😭

Does Bristol secretly have way more mutual crushes than people realize?

This might sound random but confession pages always felt strangely one-sided to me.

Someone anonymously posts about a person, everyone in the comments turns into detectives for a while, and then the post disappears into the void.

But I keep wondering how many “almost” stories probably exist at Bristol where both people liked each other and neither ever found out because nobody wanted to make the first move 👀

Am I overthinking this or does this genuinely happen way more than people admit?

There are definitely people at IITKGP secretly liking each other right now

There are probably hundreds of mutual crushes at IIT KGP right now where both people like each other and neither person ever finds out 👀

Confessions pages always felt weirdly incomplete to me.

Someone anonymously posts about a person, the comments turn into detective work for a while, people spam “F”, and then everyone moves on.

But I keep wondering how many “almost” stories exist just because neither person ever makes the first move.

What’s an app idea that feels impossible to build?

What’s the craziest or most futuristic app idea you’ve ever thought of - something so ambitious that it feels like nobody could actually build it? Curious to hear wild concepts people have imagined.

Building Campus Dating Infrastructure (Web3 Long-term) - Co-founder Hunt (Remote

Hey,

I'm a student graduating this year. I've built a campus confessions/dating app that's live, has real users, and just got investor interest from Campus Fund (London) - up to $1M check (they invest in early student ventures).

Here's the deal: it started as a confessions app on my campus, but people are actually finding matches and building real connections on it. 300 users, zero marketing, pure word of mouth. The investors want to see it on 2-3 more campuses ASAP before moving to the committee.

The Problem

I can't do this alone anymore:

  1. The gender ratio is killing growth (5 boys for every 1 girl right now)
  2. Investors want to see a team, not a solo founder
  3. This needs someone who can be the public face and build genuine trust - especially with women users. I'm a 23M, and realistically, a woman co-founder would establish that safety and credibility much faster.

I'm offering a real co-founder role, not a title. Meaningful equity. Fully remote. You can be anywhere in India, but Bangalore would be ideal (that's where I'm heading after graduation).

The Long Game

This isn't just a dating app. Phase 1 is validation and traction. Phase 2 is pivoting this into a Web3 infrastructure play - building a decentralised trust layer where users own their data, not the company.

If you're into marketing, business, Web3, or creator economy - that's a huge plus. I've already invested money in this. I'm not giving equity away to just anyone.

Right now, every social platform mines user data. We're building the opposite.

What I'm Looking For

- Someone who can help scale this (especially reaching female users authentically)

- Recent grad or around that age (preferred, not mandatory)

- All-in commitment after we raise funding (which is happening very soon)

- Genuinely excited about either the immediate traction play or the long-term Web3 vision

What You Get

- Real equity (negotiable based on what you bring)

- A live product with proven traction and real users

- Investor meetings happening now

- A shot at building something that actually matters

If this interests you, DM me with:

  • What you do (work/background)

I'll share the app link and we can talk from there. If it's real, we exchange profiles and hop on a call.

Best

The product is already live and has active users. Prior startup or business experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

I’m looking for someone who’s willing to contribute financially to the runway in exchange for equity. We’re aiming to raise funds soon, so this is a good opportunity if you want to grow something from an early stage and be part of that journey.

The app started as a university-only confessions platform but has organically evolved into something with strong dating-app-like engagement.

If you check out the traction, I’m confident you’ll see the potential.

Please DM only if you’re genuinely interested and aligned with the above, let’s respect each other’s time.

Working on a consumer social app (India) that’s already live and seeing early traction across campuses - it’s grown out of the same culture as university confession pages, and has already taken off in my campus (I’m a student myself).

Looking for a female cofounder (preferably a recent grad / university student) to lead growth and community - the product is built around anonymity, trust, and vulnerability, and shaping that trust layer needs perspective I don’t fully represent. This is core to the product, not a side role.

Early signals are strong, and there’s real room to define how this scales from here.

Process-wise: try the app, we’ll do a quick call, and if there’s a fit we’ll align on equity. It’s primarily contribution-based, with room to increase ownership over time (including via investment if you choose).

Only if you’re serious about building long-term. Remote, but commitment matters.

If this resonates (or you know someone), DM - happy to share more details.
