Decode time jumped from <5ms to 200ms after switching from Apollo to Vibepollo
Heard lots of good things about Vibepollo so I decided to try it, but my experience has been horrible. I must have misconfigured something: before, decode time on Spider-Man 2 was 5ms or lower (avg 3ms), now it spikes to 150-200ms all the time. Network time is unchanged, rock solid 1-5ms.
Host: 7800X3D with AIO water cooler + 32GB DDR5 + High end M2 SSD + RTX 4080 Super, gigabit ethernet
Receiver: Nvidia Shield TV Pro, Artemis 20.2.6, WiFi 6, 4K TV @ 60Hz, streaming 60fps. Tried h265 and h264. In the past I had it locked to h265.
I installed Vibepollo on top of Apollo (the installer said it would uninstall Apollo and install Vibepollo). My configurations carried over and I left everything at default except:
- Frame limiter: enabled, RTSS provider (tried off and same issue)
- Disable VSYNC while streaming: on (tried both Async and Back edge sync). Also tried off and same issue
Confirmed Spider-Man 2 is running at 4K 60Hz fullscreen exclusive. Tried VSYNC and NVIDIA Reflex on and off.
Nothing else changed, no Windows updates, no Shield updates, no new drivers. The only change was Apollo 0.4.6 -> Vibepollo 1.17.0.
What am I doing wrong?
