Teeny tiny update from me

https://www.reddit.com/r/Menopause/s/QvoRyF3RA7

The above link to my post from Friday.

Yesterday I said "Fuck it" and put that tiny little patch on with a change out day of Tuesday instead of Wednesday because to be quite honest, I was sick of myself. Put the patch on around noon. Left to run errands around 230 pm, fully expecting to not complete my errands....

So, I started at Publix because I I left my water bottle at the pharmacy on Friday night when I picked up the HRT meds. They were nice enough to babysit it overnight... 😆

After that, ran to Hobby Lobby. Wandered around there for about 90 minutes, which is unusual because I'm usually in and out but, I got my yarn for 2 baby blankets that I'm going to make for 2 providers at work whom are both pregnant. (I crochet) After that, I just aimlessly wandered around around, looking at different hobbies that I may be interested in. Found a couple of new things that piqued my interest.

Fully expected to bitch out after that. Nope. Did my Hellmart (Walmart) run. Full of energy by this point. Ran to another store real quick and then off to DQ for an ice cream cake for my hubs birthday which was yesterday. Came home, unloaded the SUV and went until 845 pm when I climb climbed into bed.

Can't decide if it's the HRT or I just had a good day energy wise, though I was dragging until around 315 pm.

Almost started WWIII with my in-laws though. They "forgot" about my husbands birthday yesterday. And it was a milestone birthday (50). I had to TEXT my MIL a photo of the cake I bought for him for them to call with a shit ass excuse of "we lost track of the days" around 9 pm, as we were going to bed. My parents woke up at 4 am (on a Saturday nonetheless) their time to make sure they got ahold of him before he went to work. They live in the central time zone and we're on the East Coast. So basically, the only family my husband has is mine as my dad calls him "the son we never had", though I have 2 stepbrothers. So, my bitchiness has yet to go away...

I know, I know, this all takes time. One quick question though.... I took the progesterone last night for the first time (I fell asleep before I could take it Friday night) and woke up with a hangover feeling and excessive drowsiness currently...is this normal? I took it around 9 pm and woke up at 410 am when my 115 lb Rott jumped on the bed. Hubs slept in the guestroom as he's a stage IV snorer and only wears his C-Pap about 55% of the time.🙄

Ill try taking the progesterone earlier tonight to see if that helps.

As Always, thank you for taking time we out of your day to my tale of woe... 😞

ETA: Thank you ALL for the words of encouragement. You have no idea how much that means to me.....

So, ummm, we did a thing....

So, ummmmmmmmmmm..... we did a thing about 2 weeks ago and ordered it and our Cross came in on Wednesday, picked it up on Thursday. Drove it off the lot with 4 miles on it. My first brand new car ever since getting my driver's license 30 years ago and I...... LOVE IT!!!! ❤️ It's the fanciest car I've ever owned for sure. We traded in the Tacoma for this and honestly, best decision ever. We loved the Tacoma but it was time.... any comments about your experience with the Cross are very welcome!! 😀

Break through pain

Im currently on the buprenorphine patch, 15 mg/week. However, I'm having a TON of breakthrough pain. Is this normal? Tylenol laughs at it, can't take NSAIDS due to GI issues and the soonest PM can see me is 8/4.... I sit in tears most days.... my mental health is in the garbage because psych doesn't want to change my medication therapy regimen, and the kicker? Was diagnosed with HCM last week.... so, this breakthrough pain is really fucking with me.... thanks for listening...

Pharmacies

I recently had to switch pharmacies due to insurance issues. All of my non-controlleds switched over just fine. However, none of my controlleds transferred. Ive spent all morning on the phone trying to get my controlleds transferred to the new pharmacy. It's such a pain in the ass!!!! Is this a law that controlleds cannot be transferred, even if they have refills on them? Because thats what the pharmacist at the new pharmacy said.... I'm just wondering if they're just being lazy or if thats actually the case??

Thanks for listening to my pity party for 1... I'm just frustrated is all....

Tips on giving medicine

Any advice on how to get my 1 Rott to take some Benadryl because of the boom boom 💥 outside? The Baby (2 years old with the white on her) takes hers like a champ but the older one? Forget it. I've tried ham and cheese. Any other tips, tricks or ideas would be appreciated!!! Thanks.

UPDATE: I crushed them to a finely ground powder and mixed it in with some whipped topping. She lapped it up like nothing. Last night, my husband just pried open her jaws and shoved them down there. She obviously listens better to him better than myself. Freyja, the asshole in question, is very bougie about her food....🙄

Intermittent LOA

Good evening. I know I have to go through Sedgwick but can someone please explain what an intermittent LOA will do to me.

I have a chronic health condition called Gastroparesis. Basically, my brain isn't telling my stomach when to empty so I throw up nonstop. I've managed to make it 8 months without even considering this but its starting to affect my job performance. I'm only at 3 points and 5 minutes of PPTO as I had to use it to cover my shift today.

What will an intermittent LOA do to/for me. They're already looking for a reason to get rid of me and I dont want this to be the reason I get shit canned.

Thanks in advance...

WIP

Doing this for my best friends birthday in August. Its just a simple blanket stitch but the density of it is perfect. His favorite sports team is the New York Rangers (NHL) so I figured this yarn would be perfect...

Personal experiences

Please delete if not allowed

Last week I had posted about some issues with keeping pain pills down due to gastroparesis.

Well, as expected, his methods didn't work so he wrote me for a Bupernorphine (spelling???) Patch. What is everyone's personal experience with this medication?

Thank you. 😊

At a loss

Im really at a loss here....

I've got newly diagnosed gastroparesis. Basically, I'm throwing up multiple times a day. Ive also got a 2 decade history of lower back and hip pain. I take Norco 5/325 for pain and I take Zofran for the nausea.

I had my PM appointment this morning and I was telling him about the gastroparesis and how I'm having a hard time keeping the Norco down. Now, I've tried taking them 2 hours apart, together, etc and theyre still coming back up which leaves a very bitter taste in the back on my throat and mouth, on the back of my tongue. I told him I've tried it different ways with the spacing of the meds. He said to try it again. OK then. He said that Norco doesn't come in the liquid form but I know for a fact it does, I just didn't want to challenge him on it and risk getting booted.

After my appointment, I ran by my job (I work in retail and am off today) to talk to my friend and she said he was gaslighting me. My husband said the same thing.

So, I'll try it his way until Thursday. Their office is closed on Fridays and I already know I can't go another week like this. I was in tears in his office and I know that wasn't the best thing either....

I just don't know what to do. Maybe it's time to find another PM doc, I dont know....

Accidently took much meds

So, I have a pill organizer for AM and PM. I take Trileptal and I take 1 in the morning and 2 at night. Well, last night I forgot to flip my pill organizer which really isn't a big deal. Tuesday when I did my pill organizer, I must've slipped 2 in the AM. I was at work when the side effects started coming on about 1045 AM. Im walking like I'm drunk, my face is completely numb, I threw up at work and I'm dizzy af right now, I've got double vision as well. I

Im home from work now, waiting impatiently for these side effects to wear off...🙄

Update: it's 4 am and I think I'm ok now... I slept A LOT yesterday and last night and I can feel my face once again, I'm no longer staggering around like I'm drunk. I skipped my pm dose last night and just woke up after falling asleep around 6 pm. My husband got home a bit after 10 pm from work and guided me to the bedroom as I could barely stand up. He tucked me in I guess because I woke up with blankets on me that I don't even remember putting on 😆 🤣 😂.

Anyway, I'm ok now and thanks to y'all for the support. I don't feel so dumb anymore lol. Y'all are amazing. Thanks again!!

Pick up point question

This evening I was getting a pickup from work. It's a big box retail location so nothing is, or shouldn't be anyway, confusing about the parking lot as its the only business in that lot.

I saw the driver arrive, stop and I waved at him like I normally do to my drivers before I get in. I was getting ready to open the door and he took off again further up the lot. I was already irritated from my day at work and that's 100000000% NOT the drivers fault. He finally stops, about 25-30 yards from where he slowed down. I motion for him to roll down his window before I get in and ask if hes going to take off on me again. He said that where he currently at is the PRECISE location the app told him to stop at and to "calm down".

Is that, in fact, true that the app gives the driver the precise location to stop at for a pickup? I understand the door to door thing but I've never once in 6 years of using Lyft have I had an issue with "precise" place to stop on the pavement. I still rated him 5 stars and tipped him my normal $5 for a 3 mile ride....
