They just randomly fixed the week start day issue.

Waking up today, logging in to an automatic week starting on Monday finally.

Plus a setting to change the "Start of the week".

And the "Progress" can be edited to show your week starting from any weekday.

Glad they listened, though surprised how quietly this change happend with no notifications/pop ups explaining what's changed. Lol.

How AI triggers Shiny Object Syndrome (SOS)

I've just recently realised this about myself, and I wonder if anyone else has made this link.

The fact AI gets you so much information so easily and since it's available to chat to 24/7 and is designed in a way to provide positive validation, IMO massively triggers SOS, at least that was the case with me for the past few years.

Now trying to break out of this horrible loop.

My personal experience that might help others

Hello,

Like most of yours, my life is always really busy, in fact, for the past few months, I had too many side hustles besides 2 big projects going on at work.

I've in the recent weeks started to approach shutdown from overworking.

This week, I almost hit a breaking point. I finally stopped and sat down away from any device, and started thinking for myself. I suddenly remembered about journaling, I took out a pen and paper, started simply writing down all my thoughts, no specific order, no spelling enforcements, just writing (I disposed of the paper at the end). It felt amazing.

I also always used to be the very organised one, and since I was so busy recently things have starting to get messy, which disturbed me a lot.

So I added another part after the journaling, still with the same paper, writing a detailed schedule for the day (that day only), then I logged it onto my digital calendar. The result was just fascinating, it's been a long time since I had such a productive day.

TLDR; I was beyond overwhelmed, my new technique I start every day now is taking a pen and paper and just writing down everything that goes on in my mind. At the end, I write myself a schedule for that day (full detailed schedule), I then log the schedule onto my digital calendar, and destroy the paper.

I hope someone finds this helpful. All the best.

Ctrl+P printing cut-off screenshots, I've created a basic extension to help

Hi all,

I've been developing on AppSheet since 2020.

Printing a table /deck view on desktop was always very annoying, I don't understand why AppSheet has not fixed it yet.

I have now created a simple extension that can help with that, no weird background automation with HTML hyperlinks etc. or waiting for a bot that sends an email pdf that connects to a server just for a simple print.

With this, you hit Ctrl+P, and the usual browser print preview dialog comes up.

Open for any problems or feedback you have :)

Feel like borrowing to buy BTC

Hi all,

Around Nov 22, I was desperate to borrow money to buy myself at least 1 or 2 BTC, I didn't and I regretted it.

I now start to have the same urge again, I really just want to do it. I feel like a 100/200K loan to get my self 2/4 pieces, hold for a few years, sell and repay.

Honestly, what can go wrong? BTC is not going to 0, I see the risk as it staying around 40/50 level for a little longer than I expect. Why am I wrong (if I am)? Why shouldn't I do it?

EDIT: Thanks for all your points, FYI, I can easily manage to get interest free loans for like 2-5 years. A lot of you have pointed out that I would need a backup plan to repay the loan, I guess I should save up now from work for that time period at least as a hedge against loses in case BTC goes down in value. Thanks for all your advice.

Interactive demos

Please try and respond only if you have an active SaaS and already using some form of demo process. Thanks

What are you currently using in your demo process?

I'm thinking of a tool that would automatically capture and record your SaaS platform (you will provide it login details etc.) and recreate a user interactive demo (where the user can click through and fill in forms etc. - no long AI videos showing you where to go next), hosted, that you can embed on your site.

You build a new feature or update your design, just request another recording/capturing session and you're good to go.

Would you switch to this? Y/N. Tnx

Wall of Fame: Will I be successful at my attempt?

Letting the internet decide.

Edit: I couldn't go with regular Stripe payments, since I will get chargebacks, any ideas welcome, thanks.

Edit 2: Thank you whoever made that slot 2 :)

It's funny that this is all I get...

So I posted on one of the subreddits a link to a simple MVP site, instead of what I expected; some users playing with the site, trying out, giving feedback etc., all I got was weird automated bots requesting all sorts of paths to try and attack or grab credentials.

Lol, I didn't vibe code that site, so they won't find anything anytime soon, I just find it hilarious.

I built a micro-tool based on the phrase "the ball is in your court." Is this actually useful, or am I dreaming?

Hi,

I’m usually the person who inherits the "management role" in projects, whether it’s planning a massive family holiday or chasing down work reports.

What drives me insane is the chaos: hunting through endless email threads to see who was CC'd, or decoding messy group chats just to figure out who is supposed to be doing what next.

Last week, I used the phrase "the ball is in their court," and it clicked. Why isn't there a dead-simple tracker based entirely on that?

  • Every person gets a clean dashboard showing exactly what balls are in their court.
  • Once you act on it, you pass the ball to someone else.
  • Total visibility on who is currently holding up the line.

I am basically trying to fix the "action ownership" or "handoff management" problem.

I built a super simple concept site with dummy users to test the workflow. Whilst the concept here is simple, I am envisioning a full on chat within each ball, as well as attachments / links etc. So, if the full team has an account here, they can cut out other communication tools from the process and run everything from here.

If you have 2 minutes, I’d love for you to play around with it and give me your brutal feedback. Are you tracking with this concept, or am I overthinking a solved problem?

(Careful: data is shared/public) — use the "viewing as" switcher at the top to swap between users and see how the handoff works.

Thanks for reading!
