Are loops just earplugs with an interesting shape?

Right, so I’m expecting that to be a bit of a rage bait title.

I’m genuinely interested in Loops but trying to understand them more.

My wife had a pair of quiets delivered yesterday and they look to me to be just a silicone ear tip on a plastic body that’s a non-conventional shape.

What makes them different to the reusable earplugs I have for machine work please?

I tried them in for a minute and they feel just like my reusable earplugs.

If they work, that’s great. I’m not trying to put anyone down for liking them, just trying to understand them more and don’t want to be spending out on something that I essentially already have.

How to cope with spaghetti on this turbine!

Hi.

I've had a couple of attempts at printing the main turbine section from here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwspLw7QWqY

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6140155

As you can see, it decides to lose adhesion then there's the inevitable spaghetti of air printing. I tweaked nothing for the second attempt and it got further along before losing it.

Printer is a Bambu P1S,all standard as came from the factory. It's quite a few prints in now.

0.4 nozzle.

Printing in PLA for now.

Supports are enabled but only end up running through the centre, not out to the blades.

A thought I had was to slower the speed down of the outer walls as presumably that's what's skipping - currently sat at 60mm/s.

Small perimeters - is that one of these scenarios? Speed drops by 50%??

Thanks for any help. I haven't got into any settings tweaking at all yet for any print so fairly unsure what to play with.

UK - Stainless Catering kit

I’ve got a number of units that are for the pile from catering establishments. There’s no value in trying to resale as is so looking to scrap.

I’ve been trying to work out if there’s any sense in breaking them down and flat packing, other than space saving!

Lots of square tube and flat sheets.

If I take off the clearly non stainless parts is there any more benefit? Not something I’ve ever dealt with before.

What to do with leftover lengths of filament?

Had a print finish with a little left poking into the ams. When I’ve pulled it out it’s quite a bit left.

I’m assuming it’s for the scrap pile or should I be doing something else with it?
