I mean you're basically spending the same amount of mana as for a full core but for normal cores
I'm doing a multiple tag switches run, started with adal, formed somalia, finished their missions and got the permenant modifiers. Then i formed yemen and their final mission has good permenant rewards but it's more tricky needing me to have the highest value trade node
I've almost accomplished that though, it's not the issue. The issue is the mission before the final one, the "qahwah monopoly" mission, requiring 40 merc and controlling 40% of the coffee trade. For the majority of the game i thought the 40 mercantilism was the hardest part to get, because i controlled like 80% of the coffee trade anyway. Then the europeans started colonizing america and creating new coffee production and slowly without me noticing my coffee trade share slipped below 40. I control all the coffee production in the old world (i vassalized and steer traded the coffee producers in central africa) and it's not enough.
The main problem is that south america is still being rapidly colonized, and so even though right now i only need to control 2% more of the coffee trade, more and more coffee provinces are being created in south america driving my share down even more, so I have to do something quick. I just don't know what i can do. I can't increase my own coffee production because I'm active losing -12 diplo points from annexing large vassals, plus i need diplo points to get the remaining mercantilism as the other requirement for the mission.
Going to war with a major colonizer to take south American coffee production would take like at least 50 years, and I actually wanted to get yemens missions done quickly because i wanted to tag switch to many other nations in this run.
I would be insanely grateful for any pro who has advice on how to salvage this run, because i really liked how it was going and put a lot of effort into it 🙏🙏
