I Refuse to sell any Bose radios on eBay

I refuse to sell any more Bose radios on eBay. Every single time I list one, I get scammed by a parts swapper. I’ve tried everything clearly displaying the serial numbers in the listing, using security stickers, security pens, you name it. Yet every time I report it, eBay sides with the buyer, and I end up with a defect on my account. I currently have four defects because I tried to fight these scammers after listing 4 radios I got from goodwill over the years.

My account is glitched

My eBay account is glitched, and no support agent has been able to help me.
1. A buyer wanted to return an item, so I selected FedEx because it was cheaper. As soon as the buyer shipped the item back, eBay marked the return as delivered, the same day he shipped it even though I hadn’t received it yet. I contacted support to let them know, and they told me to wait until the item arrived to refund. Instead, I received a defect on my account. I’ve called support repeatedly to have it removed because eBay has been glitching with FedEx tracking. The agents tell me the defect has been removed on their backend, but it still appears on my dashboard.
2. I can’t issue refunds to buyers after returns. I constantly get a “Return failed” error, even though I have enough funds to cover the refund. Support has been unable to resolve the issue. They keep telling me to wait 25–72 hours, but it’s been well beyond that timeframe and the problem still hasn’t been fixed.
3. I went from averaging five sales a day to zero sales for the past two weeks. Yes, it could be a summer slowdown, but these glitches don’t seem coincidental. One support agent even told me there was already an existing support ticket for this exact issue. They transferred me to another agent, but that person couldn’t help either and just repeated the same troubleshooting steps.

Why the Amazon returns?

All the goodwills in my area are putting out tons of Amazon returns. And half get returned back to the store for missing pieces and being broken , yet they keep buying more and more pallets it’s just knock off junk. Who idea was to do this?

Found this 1926 Eugen Meinel (Markneukirchen) at Goodwill for $9. Worth restoring or selling as a project?

found this old violin sitting on a shelf for $9.99. I don't play at all, but the label inside looked legit so I just grabbed it.

The label says: "Eugen Meinel, Markneukirchen, Germany 1926. Hand made Copy of Antonius Stradivarius." I did some quick googling and it looks like this brand was actually made by the Ernst Heinrich Roth workshop back in the day?

It’s definitely seen better days though. There’s a massive crack down the front on the left side, the bottom edge by the chinrest is totally chipped up and splintered, and the bridge is currently rattling around inside the body because it fell through the f-hole lol.

I actually took it to a local music shop today and the guy there tried to play me. He immediately said it’s only worth like $300 max and tried to get me to leave it overnight so his boss could look at it. Smelled like a total scam to get me to part with it, so I told him nah and walked out.

What do you guys think? Is it worth taking to a real high-end luthier to get restored, or should I just sell it as-is as a project piece for a collector? And what’s a realistic price tag for something in this rough of shape?

(Mandatory FAQ stuff: I own it, it’s for sale if the price is right, and I’ve read the FAQ entries on violin valuation and ID). Thanks!

Didn’t know resellers acted this way.

I started reselling this year, and there’s this one particular Goodwill I go to that’s kind of a honey hole. But all of the resellers at that store are so aggressive and territorial. Are all of you guys like this, or is it just a select few?

It’s gotten to the point where some people will report you to corporate, so now corporate has stepped in and said no resellers can touch the fresh carts when new products are being put out. Now everyone just stands around waiting for things to get placed on the shelves. It’s madness.

I didn’t realize thrifting was such a cutthroat business. And don’t even get me started on the guys who scan books they’re the worst.
