NatGen is the worst company in the world to work for.

I am thankful to have a job but my GOD as soon as an opportunity comes my way I am LEAVING. I have never in my life been so overworked and stressed and expected to create gold out of literal poop. The management is laughable. The claims load is unbearable. The metrics are unattainable. And the turnover rate is wild.

This company is a joke I feel so bad for the customers and they have EVERY right to be mad. I know I would be.

Career change

What’s up yall, I am a 30/yo male currently I am a claims adjuster in auto insurance. I’m located in Nashville Tennessee and I have no sales experience. I have a friend that is in roofing sales and he lives pretty comfortably not rich (atleast I don’t think lol) but comfortable.

The insurance world is dragging me through the mud in ways I don’t really wish to get into.

I know it takes risk to make it. But I’m genuinely terrified of giving up my constant biweekly paychecks and am stuck in a circle of death.

I’d like to get out, meet people, sell and repeat.

What can I do?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Claims is killing me

I’ve been in personal lines claims for 5 years now. And the burnout is real. Panic attacks, freezing up, the mental health issues are dragging me down.

I need out but the benefits and pay are keeping me here…

I always hear good things about commercial/GL.

How can I break into a totally different department?

Please help.

What career can I change to?

For the past 5 years I have been an Auto claims adjuster for 3 different carriers. The position I am at now has me on the verge of eating a bullet everyday. I hate the work, I hate the customers, I hate the management. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t feel like I’m on the verge of a panic attack. I’m thick skinned I can take a lot of shit but this has proven to be too much to the point that it is affecting my “home life” balance every day I smile less I stress more I don’t want to do anything I just want to sit on the couch and watch countless hours of TikTok because it turns my brain off for a little while.

I’m 30 years old and I am lost. I love the benefits of insurance careers but the stress is killing me.

What job do you have that you love and it didn’t take much “experience” to get into?

I would love to keep remote if possible…

Thanks.

Next step?

I’ve been a personal auto claims adjuster for 5 years now and the burnout is INSANE. More often than not I find myself wanting to sell everything I own and go live on a beach away from everything and everyone.

I’m ready for the next step in my career. I’m wanting to move to commercial. Hell even sales. I have thick skin but every single day getting yelled at by people who don’t understand that since they don’t pay for rental coverage they will not be getting a rental it’s tiring.

What is my next step? How do I make it out?

Help. Please.

Desperately looking for a new position.

I previously worked for State Farm for a year until I got a new manager who wrote me up while I was out of office for something I didn’t do and then started micromanaging me. So I left.

Worked at Nationwide for 3 years and was part of their most recent layoff.

I am now with National General. I went out of office for a vacation and had my desk completely cleaned up (never had an issue with keeping my desk up to date and worked properly) during my time out there was no backup assigned for me. When I came back I came back to an overly out of date desk (no big deal I can get it back together) I was then informed that I will be the backup for someone that unexpectedly left and has an unknown return date (last it was checked that associate had roughly 300 OD tasks) and the. I get turned back on to claims 2 days before I was supposed to due to volume received.

I am now getting talks that I need to answer the phone, I need to make contacts, I need to do this and that. I genuinely do NOT have the ability to handle everything they have thrown at me… nobody does… it is impossible.
I have been told “you can stay late if you feel that you need to do so”

I have applied to quite a few positions with no luck.

I need a remote position.

Any guidance would be amazing… thank you.

New positions???

I have been in claims for 4 years now. 1 year with the Cheifs 3 years with Payton Manning and now with a subsidiary of mayhem.

I’ve been in my current roll for closing in on 6 months already and I am getting BURNT out there is absolutely no assistance. I went out of office for a vacation for 2 weeks. Before going out I got my desk completely caught up and clear. While I was out not a single person backed me up the only backup I got was my manager taking care of escalations. As soon as I came back I was greeted with and insane amount of OD activities and tasks. And icing on the cake… being forced to be the backup for a teammate while they are out for who knows how long and that persons desk is an absolute NIGHTMARE.

For the past month since I’ve been back I have been stressing, losing sleep, worrying, working late, and still I get told “you need to do this and this”…. Excuse me? I do not have the time for that whatsoever.

So please. Help me out… I need to know who is hiring and need it to be remote and mid $60k range preferably.
