Going away for a week

I haven’t started my journey with mounjaro but definitely want to for my PMOS, as far as I have heard it’s one of the only things that helps! But i am looking at the 3 month deal for the first amount.

I don’t want to take a jab with me on my holiday, (which is next month) will it last (I’m assuming in the fridge, again not started the journey so will need to learn when I do purchase ) till I get back?

Anyone got an advice on this?
Was it easy just to start the jab again after missing a week?

Mounjaro and surgery

I am wanting to start mounjaro to help with my PCOS (PMOS) symptoms but I also have a laparoscopy appointment coming up in September to investigate for Endo. Just wondering if anyone knows if this would affect my surgery? I’m in the uk and it’s hard to inform my doctors for the surgery of this cause it was first a private appointment and now through the NHS. Getting appointments is not easy 🙈

If anyone knows if it would affect my surgery that would be super helpful!

Weight gain

I’m just wondering if people have also experienced weight gain with Endo, I do already have PMOS so that is definitely the main reason but I’m just wondering if Endo can cause it too

Auto layout and responsive design

I’m new to figma and UI/UX design and I’m struggling to understand how to get auto layout to be responsive in designs.

I understand auto layout to a certain point but I can’t seem to get it to react.

I hope this makes sense haha I am very new to it all! Got graphic design background tho!

Advice on joining a company that already has a base for UI/UX

Started working new at a UI/UX job for a company. They have their own Website and App. Before they hired me there was only one UI/ UX designer - they have designed everything.

I’m finding it hard to find where I fit in with everything. I’m trying to design stuff but I’m coming from a graphic design background and not a UI/UX one. (Or web dev)

Any advice on how to manage
a. Learning everything about the company and their 50+ figma files. I sometimes make stuff to then be told it’s already been designed so just use that. But that isn’t helping me learn figma.
b. Any advice on figma, auto layout and how to make reactive designs.

Thank you

Started a new job in Ui/Ux

Just started a new job in ui/ux and i studied graphic design. Just wondering how important people think it is for me to know coding / web dev?

I feel I’ll learn some with the job, but just wondering how many people went into the career no coding knowledge at all OR in the other hand no graphic design knowledge?

Started a new UI/UX job!

Hello, I am looking for some good, solid advice on Figma and how to use it as part of a team!

big of history and context:

I have just graduated from university and have a degree in Graphic Design. I have some experience using Figma to make UI/UX designs (such as websites and apps), but I have never worked in a collaborative team. I feel my knowledge of Figma is small. I know how to technically make stuff, but I wouldn't say it is very good for people who also want to jump in and look at what I'm working on or if they want to easily edit it.

Does anyone have any good tutorials or information on how to use Figma to its full capacity, or also how to work in a team with other people (in relation to Figma)?

Any reassuring advice from people who have started new as UI/UX designers would also be great 😵‍💫

wanting to start Wegovy with PCOS UK

So I want to start a GLP-1 for weight loss and possibly help my PCOS (PMOS) symptoms! I was looking at Mounjaro, but Wegovy is a lot cheaper. I am from the UK and will have to get these privately as I qualify for it to be prescribed by the NHS.

People from the UK, where have you purchased your injections from? I have been looking at Boots, Asda and Voy. Would you say it is worth the money, and how easily was it to stop?

Do i do the pill version or the injection or can i start on the pill version and then move over to the injection?

thoracic endometriosis? What are people’s symptoms?

I am still in my journey to see if I have endo in my bowel / pelvis area and have been for the past 3 years. But I have always wondered if there was a possibility (if I have it) it could be in my lungs?

I got diagnosed with asthma about 2 ish years ago and I thought it was possible long covid as I never had asthma before. But whenever I go for my asthma test they always say I have inflammation in my lungs. I have an inhaler and I think it helps me but my chest often feels tight and if I talk for too long I loose my voice and get cold like symptoms. Idk just wondering if anyone here has it and what are your experiences and symptoms!

Would it be worth it to go on GLP-1 for my weight?

My weight has always been an issue for me. It fluctuates dramatically, and the only way I've ever managed to get my BMI below the overweight range is by eating fewer than 1,800 calories a day and walking around 20,000- 30,000 steps daily. (I used to work 13-hour shifts as a carer)

I've been looking into paying privately for a GLP-1 medication. I live in the UK, and as far as I understand, weight-loss medications generally aren't available on the NHS unless you have a BMI of 30+ or another qualifying condition, such as diabetes.

I'm currently researching my options and would love to hear from anyone with PCOS who has tried a GLP-1 medication. Has it helped you? Which medication did you use, where did you get it from, and roughly how much did it cost?

Any experiences, positive or negative, would be really appreciated.

I got a job as a ui/ux designer

I have been offered a role as a junior ui/ux designer, and I am wondering if anyone has any advice on what a day on the job looks like! I have never worked a graphic design job before, and I'm so excited, as I haven't even graduated yet, so this is a big opportunity, and I am very, very lucky! I'm just nervous haha. Any advice would be great!

Lump feeling in my side? Endo related?

When I lie on my side in bed I have this feeling like there’s a lump? It’s my left side the same side I often get sharp pains (or even a sorta constant dull pain that sometimes when I move it feels sharper) I also get pains in that same hip and leg

Just wondering if anyone else gets this. I have not been officially diagnosed with Endo, I have had my mri results back and they couldn’t see anything so waiting for a laparoscopy now.

Just wondering if anyone else gets this feeling?

I am due to graduate from university in the UK soon, and I have a second interview for a job. The first interview was a Teams call where I went through a presentation of my work and how I work. It is asking for at least one (and you know they'll want more) printed media and at least one digital asset made (list is Instagram, email, newspaper, POS, onsite activation, signage, menu, website)

just seems like a crazy lot of work for a minimum wage junior design job :/ But I have never had a design interview before. Is this the norm?

Does anyone else always get something wrong when they have their period, normally for me it’s “period flu” but this time it’s sore throat and an ear infection 🙈 is it just coincidence?

Has anyone in the UK on the NHS had any luck getting GLP1 prescribed? I have tried to have a bit of a read up on it, says it'll be based on my BMI, I think I am a little below the requirement (not much at all), but would they just straight up refuse to help me? I have had a difficult time with the GP when it came to getting diagnosed with PCOS (I had to go private to get diagnosed; that doctor gave me metformin, which helped for a bit), and I hate saying it, but I have a lot of medical anxiety, which makes me feel like a child.

Like, do I just need to go with a list of symptoms and talk about how I struggle with weight management and also food noise?
Anyway, if anyone has any information or any way to help, that would be great.
