Is this part of Koji's bigger plan?

Ichinose saw both of (Kiyohiyori).

Since there's no full context....ain't no way Koji didn't realize ichinose, right? How come? Is this purposely done?

Purposely lose for the sake of hiyori? Making her an easy target? Not only Ichinose, his own class too. Making Ryuen think that he found Koji's real weakness..? Why i feel like Koji is putting small things everything until everything finally connected?

I'm questioning everything here...The way everything is spiralling around, it seems like the hints will be connected soon? Hints has been thrown everywhere.

Im quite dissatisfied with Koji's development in V4 (based on spoilers)

Yeah, i know I should wait for whole volume but let me rant a little bit.

First of all, let's talk about Ichinose. I'm dissapointed with her new progress. I always thought she is sketchy when she said she didn't care whether Koji will reciprocate her feelings or not but here we are in V4 (spoilers). Ichinose is ready to target hiyori.

Another thing, I'm amazed with how intentionally easy it was to assume a 'weakness'. Ryuen seemed to believe that hiyori is Koji’s weakness. Like bfr, it definitely won't be that easy.

The fact that Koji abandoned his new class for the sake of this 'new experiment' is actually quite laughable. How come it was easy for him to reveal hiyori as weakness? Revealed it in front of ichinose too, then ichinose going to target hiyori for the sake of 'love'. I felt this was intentional (aligned with his OAA Y3 monologue: wanting to manipulate people based on their emotions)

Another laughable thing here was how Koji confessed his feeling for Hiyori while still assuming whether it's love or not (and..he didn't love her) Worse, he is ready to dive deep into this new experiment. Hiyori, girl you should run. Another textbook of love smh (EDIT: SORRY GUYS, HE DIDN'T CONFESS TO HIYORI, IT WAS HIYORI THAT CONFESSING TO HIM)

Though, maybe the reason why Koji abandoned his class because he became immersed with this newfound feeling, i still feel like this is just a setup for him to manipulate things further.

The only good thing from spoilers is that horikita is winning. My girl, im proud of you. And Ibuki is not expelled. Good. I just need more of WR's progression & horikita being happy

Similarities that I found in horikita & Hiyori's scenes.

First of all, don't get mad at me for pointing things out.

In this scene where Koji said he followed hiyori through his eyes. Isn't that similar with what he did to horikita for 2 yrs before leaving the class?

Or when koji is zoning out when looking at hiyori & wanting to talk with her? Didn't it feel similar with Y2V11 scene? In Y2V11, Koji was zoning out when saw horikita before their non-related class conversation that Koji initiated for her. Coincidentally, Koji also going out of his way to talk to horikita during that time in the very early morning. ​Am I tripping or was it similar...? ​

Another question: Since the author sneakily emphasized Koji’s averted gaze from horikita 2 times in Y3, do you think we'll get another averted gaze's scene? ​

Again, don't get mad at me for asking. I'm so scared to point things out here given people here might dislike it or think I'm being delusional 😭

About Honami (my perspective) ‼️

I think the way ichinose did promise night was questionable but I think it happened because of her warped mind? Yes, she had done Koji a favour by suggesting the alliances but based on my prediction, this alliances will lead to another betrayal episode for her (of course, this is just a prediction).

As much as capable she is, Ichinose projecting an unstable twisted mind (no, im not saying she's crazy) but we might see another episode of Honami where she'll be having a hard time to balance between her morality & desperation.

Between morality, her role as a leader & desperation for Koji’s attention/love. Ichinose can go beyond by betraying her own class & ended up being betrayed by someone else (her classmates or even Koji)

Talking about desperation for love, perhaps Honami's desperation came from the fact that she was raised by a single parent (her mother). A poor, broken family. Her mother always busy working, so we could say there were lack of attentions given to Honami. This might be the impetus for why she's trying to be accepted/recognized by Koji

Imo, her character is as complex as other characters. Seems like her character is also written for the concepts of betrayal & trust. I would like to note that she had undergone a massive development from being naive, easily taken advantage of to becoming someone confident with her own capabilities. Ichinose is no longer naive.

Oh, about Koji & Honami. He was amazed with her capabilities & with the current event in Y3, I don't think Kiyo will 'prioritize' his relationship with her anymore especially after alliances (in my opinion)

Hot take: Suzune understand Kiyo better than Kei

Not related with romance. I agree that Kei understands Kiyo well but only to some extent.

I think Horikita understand him better than Kei. Horikita questioned him a lot in Y2, there were a lot of things that they disagreed due to Kiyo's decision not to let people know about his origin. But at the same time, they agreed with lots of thing too. Their banter was top tier too.

For Kei, she questioned Kiyo too. She had her own intuition of Kiyo's secret (same goes with Suzune). They shared many things but that because they were a 'couple'. Kei was the closest with Kiyo as his ex-gf but let's not forget that the author also highlighted Kiyo & Suzune’s closeness as friends in Y2 (behind the scenes)

Someone like Suzune understands Kiyo better. Even if they're not a 'couple' like Kiyokei.

Of course, this is my hot take. Everyone could disagree but please do it respectfully.

It was an old interview but it's align with current situation in Y3. I agree with the commenter about how Kiyo developing as a character & how his relationship with other girls influence him as a character.

The keyword in the interview is "how the couple will develop". That's what makes it intriguing.

Since we'll never know who will be expelled until the releases of V4, I still want to lay out reasons why I don't want Kushida to be expelled.

  1. I know Kushida is like a ticking bomb, unpredictable but I consider her as an asset for Horikita's class

  2. I'm glad she's not expelled in Y2V5 as Kushida evidently more useful than Sakura (no hate intended). Kushida's social skill far more superior compared to Sakura too.

  3. Based on her OAA quote, Kushida likely working with Kiyo, betraying horikita's class but I hope horikita will 'use' Kushida.

Soon enough, Horikita will learn about her betrayal, so it will be good to extract a little bit information from Kushida. Handling Kushida's betrayal might not be easy for horikita but I'm sure horikita has plan to handle this situation.

  1. I believe Kushida will get her redemption arc in Y3 for her development. I'm not fully sure but I believe it will happens.

  2. Last but not least, I enjoy the trio (Ibuki, Suzune, Kushida). They are like a breath of fresh air amidst the competitions, expulsions & survival in cote. I just want horikita to smile more 😭😢

People says he's an unreliable narrator. So, if that's the case, why it's hard for people to believe he actually cares for her despite being indifference?

When I say care, it doesn't necessarily related to romance. It could be implied as care for friends.
