When I first moved into my current place, I saw it as somewhere I'd stay temporarily while looking for something better.
A few years later, I'm still here. It's not perfect, but I've become comfortable with the area, know my neighbours and have everything I need nearby.
It's made me wonder whether people sometimes stay in "temporary" homes simply because they gradually become home.
Has anyone else ended up staying somewhere much longer than they originally planned?
Supporting Ajax sometimes means travelling a long way, whether it's an away match, a European night, or simply making the trip to the Johan Cruyff ArenA. Those journeys often end up being just as memorable as the match itself.
Have you ever travelled specifically to watch Ajax? How far did you go, what was the occasion, and looking back, was it worth every kilometre?
Ajax have reached an agreement with Sari Kees regarding the transfer of the 25-year-old defender to Ajax. Kees joins on a free transfer from Leicester City and has signed a contract in Amsterdam that runs until June 30, 2029.
One thing I keep coming back to with FIRE is the value of time. Sometimes spending more can mean getting a few hours back every week, and that can be worth more than the money saved.
Have you ever deliberately spent more because it gave you more time or freedom?
Maastricht has a lot going for it, but no city is perfect, and there are always things that could make everyday life a little better.
Maybe you think the city needs more affordable housing, green spaces, independent shops, late-night cafés, cultural events, or better public transport. Or perhaps there's something more specific that you feel is missing.
If you could add one thing to Maastricht, what would it be, and why do you think the city would benefit from it?
Sometimes it only takes one performance to completely change the way you see a player. Maybe you weren't convinced by them before, or perhaps you didn't realise just how good they could be until that particular match.
Was there an Ajax game that made you think differently about a player? Who was it, and what happened that changed your opinion?
A lot of people pursue FIRE with the goal of leaving work behind, but reaching financial independence also gives you the freedom to work on your own terms.
Would you retire completely, switch to part-time, start a business, volunteer, or keep doing your current job because you enjoy it?
What would your ideal lifestyle look like if earning a paycheck was entirely optional?
Cities are always changing, and over the years some places, traditions, and experiences quietly disappear.
It could be a restaurant that closed, a local shop, an annual event, a music venue, a public space, or even the way a particular neighbourhood used to feel.
If you could bring back just one thing, what would it be? What made it special, and do you think the city has ever really replaced it?
