New to MotionCam on Vivo X200 Ultra — need help with RAW video settings and rendering for a cinematic look

Hey everyone

So I recently started getting into videography and picked up MotionCam on my Vivo X200 Ultra. I've done a bit of research already so I'm not a complete beginner — I know to shoot in 4K 24fps, keep shutter speed at 1/48 for that cinematic motion blur, and keep ISO as low as possible to avoid noise.

I also came across a bunch of YouTube videos where people were saying to shoot in RAW video format to unlock the full potential of the phone camera, which makes sense to me. But that's kind of where my knowledge ends and I start getting lost lol.

What I'm still confused about:

What RAW settings in MotionCam actually work best on the X200 Ultra specifically? Any recommended profiles or tweaks?

How do I handle the RAW footage in post? Do I need to do a lot of heavy color grading or is there a simpler workflow for beginners?

Any good LUTs that work well with RAW footage from this phone?

On the editing side I'm using a MacBook Air M1 — probably going to use DaVinci Resolve since it seems like the go-to for color grading. But I have no idea about render/export settings. What codec and bitrate should I be exporting at to get the best quality without the file size being insane?

Any advice from people who've actually used MotionCam seriously would be really appreciated. Still learning but trying to do it the right way from the start! 🙏

Truck Driver/Bus Driver Looking to Leave Driving – HVAC or Plumbing?

Hey everyone,

I'm 30 and currently driving a transit bus in Ontario. Before this, I spent 2 years as a truck driver. I've realized I don't enjoy being on the road all day and am seriously considering switching to a skilled trade.

Right now I'm looking at HVAC and Plumbing, but I have zero trade experience and am just starting my research.

For those in the trades:

Which would you choose today in Ontario?

Which has better pay and job opportunities?

Which is easier to get into as a complete beginner?

Is trade school worth it, or should I focus on finding an apprenticeship first?

I'd appreciate any advice from people working in either trade or anyone who made a similar career change.

Thanks!
