IONIQ 38kwh brake pedal goes to the floor

Hi all,

I've had an Ioniq 38kwh for a month now (first ev) and have thought the brakes need to be pressed quite hard if the car needs to be stopped quickly but just put it down to the regen brake blending.

The discs are in good condition and I make a point to use the brakes to keep them clean.

Today however I noticed I can push the pedal all the way to the floor when stationary. I'm fairly certain this isn't normal but has anyone else experienced this?

Possible fraud query

Hi all,

This evening I had an approve transaction notification for £24 from Amazon which is didn't recognise. I checked all my orders and subscriptions and couldn't find a reason for the payment.

I didn't approve it, froze the card and called the number given on the app for Card Stolen.

The call operator told me to order a new card via the Lost option as that will mean it'll have a new number, which is fair enough. He said to keep the card frozen which suprised me as I though they would immediately cancel it.

It seems like odd advise given my details have presumably been stolen and all of Natwest's online advice is to report as fraud.

Has anyone been given this advice?

Hyundai ioniq 38kwh wont charge on granny charger

Hi all,

Picked up a 2022 Hyundai ioniq 38kwh yesterday and have found out it won't charge on a granny charger.

It went back to the dealer today as the 12v battery died a few hours after we got it home yesterday. I thought this could be the problem, but it still won't charge on a 3 pin charger bought from Amazon, and the one Hyundai supplied with the car (which is new).

No faults on either charger are showing and the symbol showing it is connected shows on the dash, but niether will start and the charger lock doesn't activate (not sure if charging starts first though).

I have tried two sockets in our garage and one external one on the house. The garage sockets are brand new. I also tried a socket in my neighbours garage which also didn't work.

The dealer reset the settings in the car so no schedule should be set.

Prior to us collecting the car, the dealer charged it on a 7kw one.

Any ideas would be appreciated before we take it back to the dealer again!

Update: Charger lock pin was sticking so will have to go back to the dealer for repair. Can now charge at least just by pulling the pin release to unstick it.
