Have tons of Knipex and this is the first set of 250 mm chrome Cobras! I have to say they are impressive, putting them to work tomorrow! I really only have the pliers wrench in chrome and I think technically the Holiday 180mm are chrome too.
Do prefer the chrome?
Adjustable wrenches are always necessary all the time, my first pair was Crescent Brand in 6” & 10”. I was gifted the 15” Proto, 15” DeWalt and 6” Diamalloy ( only have used the 6”). I inherited the 10” Craftsman from my late grandpa, it works great just wish it had larger capacity. Then finally landed on the Bahco 6” 9029-T Slim Jaw Adjustable Wrench and use it the absolute most(as far as actual adjustable wrenches go, pliers wrench are used the most). I also have the Bahco 9033 R US Ergo X-Wide Adjustable Wrench, 10-Inch. I have all 125-300mm sizes in the Knipex Pliers Wrench and I use those more than anything in here, but I don’t picture because though they are technically adjustable and a wrench. They are a two handles pliers wrench so category-wise I felt best to leave them out.
So what adjustable wrench is your favorite to use? Least favorite ?
I’ve been plumbing 2022 and one of, if not my most used tool is water pump pliers. I was pretty quick as an apprentice to want to have my own tools and not rely on anyone else. So thru trial and error of buying different brands, owned 3 pairs of Channellock brand and lost everyone of them (and not any other brand this happen with), also inherited the MAC Tools 10”, found a pair I hate so much I don’t think anyone will top it…. the Milwaukee V-Jaw (any size, not pictured).
Then I found my favorite at Knipex Cobras in 2023. I use the Cobras literally everyday at work and they have been one of the biggest game changers with the button adjustment plus them being able to lock on basically anything.
What water pump pliers do you use? How would you rank the few I have pictured? What pair do you absolutely hate?
I’m sure I’m missing a couple, but these are some of my more used small tools for plumbing. I’m a big fan of exploring brands and what they offer so..

Been a proud Knipex owner since 2023 with my first two pair of Cobras 250mm. Since then I have acquired a few of each of the Alligators, Pliers Wrench, TwinGrips and CoBolt cutters. This is my first pair of Knipex long nose pliers 26 11 200, before that I’ve mainly relied on my craftsman 6” long nose and Milwaukee 8” Long nose pliers. I am a plumber and don’t ever really use the cutters just the gripping for gaskets in small spaces, pulling out small clogs, etc. What do we think of the upgrade?
