Why is everyone so hostile to the remixes?

Hello! I'm a newer Doors fan! I've listened to the original mixes to get the experience the band wanted in the 60s, but then I wanted to listen to the new mixes so I don't have to deal with the rough hard panning the early albums had, but all I hear about how much they suck, I've admittedly only listened to the 2017 remix of self titled but i think it's an infinite improvement. I hope this doesn't get hate, I'm genuinely curious over why the fandom is so jaded by the new mixes.

A bet to the tally hall community

Hello all! I'm the fan album guy. I have a challenge for the archivists, people who happen to have gate kept tally hall lost media and lost demos. If you all come together and make a gigaleak near the scale of the Another Minute gigaleak I will eat my pair of PUMA sandles and do it over a hidden in the sand discord call, I think deadlines are stupid but it has to be within the year, if it is done I will genuinely do this. Good luck to all. (Image unrelated)

Tally Hall (Earth 2) - Party At 5:40

https://youtu.be/Dwn3A0Qc1wQ?is=tFaU4KF3Hyx77Frj

The year is 2006.

Tally Hall had been busy the year prior, working on the Budding Colors demo album.

upon its finish, the band gets picked up by Quack! Media to record a concept album called "Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum", which the band expected to do at most okay.

What they didn't expect is that it won the best indie album of 2005, but stayed on the billboard hot 100 for the next several months, officially solidifying Tally Hall as a mainstream band.

They get picked up by a label called Atlantic Records to make a follow-up to Marvin's.

What transpired was an album that is a tonal opposite to Marvin's as the band wanted to go back to their mixed-media roots.

the album is then also acclaimed as an artistic masterpiece which stayed at number 2 at the charts until January 2007.

Tally Hall (Earth 2) - Budding Colors

The year is 2004.

The year prior, local band Tally Hall gets a new member in Joe Hawley, who basically makes the band have an entire aesthetic overhaul.

He employs colored ties and a more wacky aesthetic to make Tally Hall stand out compared to the muted colors many bands at the time had.

Joe joins the band by sending Rob Cantor a CD full of demos that Joe recorded with friend Andrew Kurtz to get into the band.

Rob accepted, so half of the demo recordings are on this album, the other half will be maintained for later projects.

The band, with Steve Gallagher as drummer recorded several songs for the album, however right in the middle of the sessions, Steve quits, so Joe brings his friend Ross Federman to replace him. The album gets released in early 2005, right after the release of the "Pingry E.P", and brought to attention a small Indie label called Quack! Media.

This leads to the release of "Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum." in 2006, which shoots Tally Hall to #1 on the billboard hot 100, making them mainstream.

Tally Hall (Earth 2) - 540 - Songs About Girls

the year is 2002, a small group of University Students decide to start a local band and record a couple tracks.

initially going to be an EP under a name called "ListedBlack", frontman Rob Cantor decides a cooler name - 540.

Now the band, under a cheap independent label releases the now 10 track mixed media album, locally at their school, and it's a tiny success, bringing the attention of one Joe Hawley.

A year later he joins the band, the bassist quits leading Zubin to become Bassist, a Drummer by the name of Steve Gallagher joins the band, and by 2003, they officially adopt the name -

The Beatles (earth 4610) - All Things Must Pass

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1aZ2v7hvDGjwwjQ7qEN9SFfgSaJvMf74L

This is the first fan album in a series I'm making where the AU is not much different from the Beatles we have, except for 1969. Abbey Road releases unchanged, but Let It Be doesn't.

The band and producers deeming the sessions and film a farce, they release let it be as a single and relegate what was good to later albums (to add less stress to recording sessions). The band holds a meeting led by George Harrison stating he wants a break for a year, then they can come back with written material to make an album together.

So The Beatles don't release an album in 1970. No singles, no EPs, nothing. It leads some fans to create stories that they broke up. That was until 1971.

The All Things Must Pass sessions happen mostly at the recording studios the band would usually frequent for their albums. (EMI, Apple, Olympic, Etc.) It's a double album much like "The Beatles (1968)" with a track from the Get Back/Let It Be Sessions: "I Me Mine." The album charts #1 on the billboard hot 100 and is seen as the best comeback of the 70s at the time. After a meeting discussing the outcome of the album, George makes a comment about feeling trapped by Apple, giving Paul an idea for a song and album.

BAND ON THE RUN COMING SOON.

Tally Hall (earth 2) - The Full Timeline

This has been a long time coming.

Tally Hall is an American rock band who started in 2002 as a band by the name of ListedBlack. In this alternate timeline their debut studio album "Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum (2005)" charts number 1 and gets them into the mainstream stratosphere. Start with 2005 Marvin's then come here.

PARTY AT 5:40 (2006)

https://youtu.be/SV8BpsCpoWg?si=rVlO7U-lGRLQl1l2

After the mainstream success of Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, the band decides to make an album that's the opposite of Marvin's, taking [Sublime's] "Robbin' The Hood" approach, recording a bunch of songs in multiple studios, homes and areas. The album is praised as an experimental and varied album. The band takes a tour to promote the album, and then takes a small break, writing new material, leading to...

THE COLOR JAMBOREE (2009)

https://youtu.be/MO8e3SA6Kk0?si=N9iXgbxYnWf8ZPMI

After some meddling with Atlantic and Tally Hall, the band is getting ready for an aesthetic shift, but the band wants to make a transition album to make the listeners ready for the shift, making another concept album similar to "Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band", or "The Black Parade."

A VACATION TO HAWAII (2011)

https://youtu.be/EgFfdtiItGU?si=NCGHu9ICYCK6xkwL

The year is 2011, and innovation is in the air. The band wants to do another concept album but doesn't know a decent theme. Joe and Bora come up with the idea of an album based off Joe's vacation to Hawaii when he was a child. (More info in description of video)

TALLYHALL (2015)

https://youtu.be/qWZzeLoqiGM?si=NOTphjEoH97g5Bl-

This timelines final album. After a long break the band realizes they've done all they've set out to do, so dusting their instruments off, they record an album not based on a theme, concept, or anything. It's based on them and you and me. And how they changed the world, hence the self titled name.

Thank you for the small support, I really appreciate it!

Tally Hall (earth 2) - Party At 5:40

Tally Hall (earth 2) - Party At 5:40

(I guess you can't keep me from here)

https://youtu.be/SV8BpsCpoWg?si=VlNbt\\\_aTulSubNTc

(Tally Hall Earth 2. Start with 2005 Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, then here.)

Tally Hall's Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum charted #1 on the billboard top 100, thrusting Tally Hall into the mainstream after 3 years of hardship. Due to this, their budget quadrupled. What does the band do with the money? make a second album that's a polar opposite to Marvin's. something dark. something to make people think. Lead guitarist Rob Cantor said that they wanted to do something similar to 90s Reggae-Punk band Sublime's "Robbin' The Hood." Due to this the band recorded at multiple Studios, home Studios, radio studios, attic's, etc. If you wish to download this to your devices, listen here.

**NOTE**: unless this earth 2 project gains any traction, this may be my last Tally Hall fan project for a while.

I've had so much fun doing these though. Please enjoy.
