has anyone on this sub actually blown up?

to clarify I don't mean YouTube moderation or any ai stuff I mean actually passionate about your content

has anyone actually gotten to a big number with consistant views and been able to turn YouTube into what looks like a long term job?

I'm starting to get the impression basically everyone is on around like 300 subs helping one another (which is amazing, like this sub is a very helpful and encouraging community I didn't mean for that to come across as rude at all lmao)

genuinely just wondering. if so what sort of content do you make? how long did it take you to get where you are? more importantly do you have fun with what you do?

how's this

~note: ai used as this is a concept

Title: Grown Man Wanted to END MY LIFE (or something)

video is an animated story similar to swoozie or Brewstew about this time a grown man tried to kill me when I was 12 (long story, that's why I'm making the video)

this it look eye catching? algorithm friendly? what works what doesn't?

start new channel or keep current one?

I started my channel in march, didn't like the content I was making after 2 videos so I took 2 months off to decide what I actually want to do. I have my new format all planned out, and am having a lot of fun with it. first video goes up on June 1st, but I'm wondering should I keep the old channel or scrap it and make a new one?

the channel got to 15 subs, they're likely just dead subs judging from second vid not doing well and no one unsubbing after 2 months. it's enough for someone to be like "oh this channel is on its way". but I also know YouTube likes to sometimes push VERY new channels.

I like the idea of having A sub count off the bat so people are more willing to subscribe because it's not 0.

please don't say "whatever you want to do" do you think I should make a new one, or is it fine keeping the old one if the old videos aren't up?

every post on this sub has at least 3 people whining about nothing, idgaf if you're cynical about whatever please just answer civilly there is nothing here to upset you or frustrate you

what are tips for your first month?

I'm going to have two videos prepared so I can get ahead of weekly uploads for the summer, and will post 2 shorts a week.

I know consistency and short form content is what every says to do. what else would you recommend?

(every post on this sub has about 3 people bitching and whining about something, I am simply asking for tips I don't gaf if you're cynical about something)

can they start putting the others in thumbnails

niko and chunkz are the biggest member I understand, but chunkz doesn't even have half of beta squads sub count so it's not like people are directly coming to beta squad for him specifically anymore.

I'm sure they did some like analytical testing but it would be nice to see Sharky AJ or Kenny in any of them instead of Chunkz and Niko over and over. Like has Kenny been banned? I think he's been on one thumbnail in the last 2 years

Question about sub boxes.

Why don't most modern YouTubers have a subbox anymore? Like they were never removed people just stopped having them for promoting their friends, or even promoting their own side channels? Not even plugging your own side channels is very strange to me. I don't see many people do it anymore.

every time I post asking any question the response is either just someone trying to sound smart to the point I need to load up a translator to read their response, and then their response isn't even that smart or like decent at all it's just waffle that makes them come across as boring.

it's either that or people who are just angry at someonthing. like someone shat in their cornflakes this morning or something? everytime I make any post it HAS to turn into an argument.

I made a post asking out of curiosity why so many studios greenlight movies that are clearly going to fail (I was talking about like when they try to revive dead ips over and over and they keep losing money) I was just curious. Like 3 people didn't understand what I said and just went on rant sprees, one fella proper did research to "debunk what I was saying" (he thought I was talking about just regular franchises even though I made like 3 edits to clarify that's not what I meant) the others were just pissed off at nothing?

why is it that seemingly everyone on this apps mental wellbeing is like 2/10. (sorry I need to clarify I mean *some* people before I get 9 responses ranting about how their mental wellbeing is fine mb)

I've noticed a lot recently as I enter college that mid way through secondary school, I think a lot of people tend to start, more or less, stop interacting with with people outside their own race.

I grew up in a pretty diverse area. Back in primary school to early secondary, I feel most friend groups were VERY mixed, but as we moved into our 3rd year of secondary, all the friend groups started being all white, all black, all Asian etc (for the most part of course). Now that I'm in college I barley see anyone walking around with members of different races. And I'm starting to notice it a lot more when I'm out in general that this is a very common occurrence.

I don't think it's really interest based, back in secondary most of the boys all had the same interests, only thing I can think of was not a lot of whites watched anime and seemingly everyone else did, but even then we all played the same games, were into football and basketball and so on. If we were ever in groups we would all get along and have a laugh, so it's not like there was like a racial tension (idk what to call it).

No clue about female friendships, it seems more common you may see them interacting a little bit more, but there's no huge difference.

Idk just noticed this and think it's a little strange?
