How often are you called "mardy" or "tired"

It's the one thing that gets on my nerves. When I'm not masking, my natural resting face is "droop" and I look tired. Every single time I'm focusing on something, my family will go "you look tired" or "what's wrong with your face". This will set me off and I find it hard not to get agitated. Then for the rest of the day it's "oh she's mardy today". Like 🥲🥲🥲 please just leave me be

Emotional dysregulation over small stuff

Hey all! I'm diagnosed with combined, and I'm waiting for meds. I'm with CareADHD and should be getting meds any minute now, but boy the wait is long.

I'm finding it so hard to regulate my emotions. I get angry over small stuff and it'll leave me curled up in bed for hours. This morning I was excited to have a coffee and breakfast with my partner who was staying over for the week. I went outside in the sunshine, and a racing pigeon landed on the conservatory roof. I'm obsessed with birds, and this one seemed quite tame. I went to grab some bird seed to feed it, in hopes it would come closer. As I went to grab the seed my partner went towards it. The pigeon flew near him and the dogs started barking which made it fly off.

That pigeon flying off has made me non verbal, curled on the sofa, crying, no longer hungry or excited for the day. Once this happens I find it hard to get out of it unless I'm distracted by something else. It's so stupid, but it's ruining my life. How can someone get that fustrated over a fucking pigeon? 😭😭😭

I came to talk about this to ask if anyone else experiences the same thing? And if meds have helped with regulating emotions? Thank you everyone x

Theory test advice

Hey, everyone! I hope you're all well. I've just finished university and qualified as a paramedic. To start the job I need to have a C1 license, which includes passing the HGV theory tests and a practical. However, I'm really struggling with the theory.

I passed hazard perception first time, but I cannot pass the multiple choice for the life of me. I've got ADHD, so I really struggle with revising up until the last minute by cramming things in. I use the 4in1 app and answer all the Qs until I've got them right. But in the actual test I find there's a few random Qs that ive never seen before which catch me out. This will be my 4th time now. Each test I get anywhere between 80-84 which is so fustrating! I know I need to be on it with my revision for weeks before hand, but it's so hard!

I don't suppose you guys have any tips with passing the multiple choice? Any apps/methods that worked really well for you whilst revising? Thank you so much!!

Colossus.. WTF!!

So it was my first time at Thorpe Park yesterday. I was so excited. I love all sorts of rollercoasters. I've been to Alton towers, Florida, Flamingo land and love them all! Colossus was the first ride we went on of the day and we got the back row. I did some research prior and I knew it was rough.. but oh my god I didn't realise how bad it was gonna be.

The pain was so bad I was praying for it to be over. I stupidly kept my ear piercings in (however I've never had an issue with them in before) but my head has dents in from where my piercings stabbed my skin. It made me so scared to ride the other rides at Thorpe. Luckily I went on the rest and they were great! But my god Colossus.. wtf!! It gave me a mild concussion and today I've been super tired, sensitive to light, anxious etc. I just can't believe that thing is still running! The head banging was insane! Even if I kept my head back/forward it still didn't help.

Has anyone else experienced this??

I was diagnosed a few months ago and I'm starting to make sense of things and realising I've masked a lot.

I'm a uni student so I have exams and clinical placement. I'm apparently known as the "confident" one. When deep down im anything but that. Before one of my practical exams last week, I said to one of the other students that I felt super nervous. I barely knew this person btw. She said to me: "wow it's unlike you to be so nervous. That makes me nervous". This person that I barely knew portrayed me as the confident folk in the cohort, when deep down I was terrified. Me feeling nervous made her nervous.

I went to a tattoo appt the other day and I was talking to the tattoo artist. He said "you seem very confident for your age". I was so confused as I'm not confident at all. If anything, I was trying to hide my anxiety as best as possible.

I went for my driving theory test today, and the invigilator said "it's nice to see someone smiling today". Do people not smile? Am I smiling too much? Am I just masking?

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm about to finish uni and I'm at such a stressful time in life. But I always make sure I smile and be kind to people, even if they're not nice to me (the RSD talking back). Im quite scared of being perceived lol so that might be why. I'm soon to be medicated and I can't wait to see how I get on. I just find it so strange that others see me as the confident, lively person when deep down I'm an emotional wreck!
