This is a CTA post for Sentai to get the lead out and give us a proper English dub for Tokyo Mew Mew New (jk jk well a lil bit lol) Seriously what prompted me to put this together was due to the recent announcement of the Urusei Yatsura reboot finally getting the remainder of the series dubbed after almost 3 yrs since the release of the first two seasons. It gave me a glimmer of hope that Sentai might spin the block on another the TMM reboot and give us fans what we been praying for since 2023.

Magical series are very niche genre here in west outside of Sailor Moon but for those who grew up in the early 2000s we watched Tokyo Mew Mew better known as Mew Mew Power here in the US exactly. I think it's time that a TMM property FINALLY have an accurate faithful dub.

So here's my picks, I tried to choose mainly VAs who work often with Sentai.

Mew Mews:
* Brittney Karbowski as as Ichigo Momomiya/Mew Ichigo

* Karlii Hoch as Mint Aizawa/Mew Mint

* Natalie Rial as Lettuce Midorikawa/Mew Lettuce

* Mai Le as Pudding Huang/Mew Pudding

* Elissa Cuellar as Zakuro Fujiwara/Mew Zakuro

* Stephen Alcalá as Ryou Shirogane

* Adam Gibbs as Keiichiro Akasaka

* Blake Shepard as Masaya Aoyama

* Gabriel Regojo as Seiji Aizawa

Aliens:

* Jeremy Gee* *as Quiche

* Brandon Hearnsberger as Pie

* Cat Thomas as Tart

What do you guys think?

I feel like Heathers musical needs a movie adaption, i want the full campiness maybe take some bits from the OG movie but this is begging for a big screen release. Here's my fan cast for the Characters

* Olivia Rodrigo as Veronica Sawyer (so when it comes to Hollywood type of casting, I think Olivia fits the bill for Veronica looks wise and singing wise she a great tone fit for her character but she's not exactly a powerhouse from what I've heard from her and these songs are very hard and sit very high in range. She would definitely need some vocal training for sure)

Which brings me to my second choice for Veronica: Rachel Zegler, (She would eat this up hands down!)

* Casey Likes as Jason "J.D." Dean (He's played JD in the Off-Broadway revival earlier this year and I really enjoy his take on it, he portrays the outcast psychopath very well and has an incredible voice. I would love to see him cast for the movie adaption)

The Heathers:

* Hayes Warner as Heather Chandler (She's a newer actress on the scene but her role as Debbie in The Shards was so Chandler coded and she has a killer voice, she has the energy and vibe needed)

* Ruby Rose Turner  as Heather McNamara (Her role as Bridget in Descendants: Rise of Red shows she can play bubbly characters very well and her voice is the perfect tone for McNamara)

* Lexi Underwood as Heather Duke (A very underrated actress and incredible singer I personally want to see her in more roles and she fits this perfectly)

* Erin Morton as Martha Dunnstock (She's also from this year's revival cast and her rendition of Kindergarten Boyfriend is so moving and beautiful. She def needs to be in the movie)

* Theo Graham as Ram Sweeney

* Froy Gutierrez as Kurt Kelly

* Donna Murphy as Ms. Fleming (She would be hilarious and totally own this role. also her vocals on Shine a Light would send me to the stratosphere**)**

* Wayne Brady as Bill Sweeney (Ram's Father)

* Neil Patrick Harris as Paul Kelly (Kurt's Father)

* Steffiana De La Cruz as Veronica's Mother

* John Mulaney as Veronica's Father

What do you guys think?

Now for the record, I highly doubt they’re going to recast at this point and I don’t want to see opportunities taken away from potential rising talent, but if Disney wanted to make this right They can give us a cast like this,

* Leah can still play Destiny

* Audrianna Lico (Afro-latina) as Dior

* Delia Chambers (Asian/African-American) as Ruby

Then as a nod to the books, they give Brooklyn’s character a twin sister named Braelyn who also joins the group

They can be portrayed by twins Trisha and Tara Macaden (Indian)

This would still be diverse while keeping true to the original source material and representation of black and brown girls as intended.

What do you guys think of this?

So last week the speculated four leads from the upcoming Cheetah Girls 4 was leaked on a X page called Disney HQ and was met with overwhelmingly negative reactions. Even on tiktok alot of folks are sounding off on their disappointment with the cast most pointing that that Leah is the sole black member of the cast.

Disney eventually hit the page with DMCA violations snd had the posts removed.

Do you think due to the backlash is disney gonna recast the four leads or just let it all die down then reconfirm the cast?

I put a spoiler up just in case for those who aren't caught up in One Piece yet but for those who are. Just wanted to know who would be your pick to voice Loki in the One Piece dub. Even though there hasn't been any updates on when dub elbalph will be released but just out of curiosity i want to know your picks.

I honestly think Daman Mills is my top choice for Loki. He's the voice i hear when imagine how Loki would sound in English.

The one thing that’s confusing me is whether or not this is going to be a rebooted series or a movie sequel. That’s something I wish they would confirm but everything seems to be lining up. The alleged director is currently in Cape Town right now.

The Cheetah Girls has always been a mix of r&b, pop & urban style of music. I hope with this newer movie they stay in that lane especially with more late 90s/early 00s r&b style songs but also incorporate Afrobeat and Amapiano into the music since it's being shot in South Africa.

I would love to see them cover this song by Boys World and make it a hit. It can be this generation's Cinderella/Girl Power anthem

What kind of music direction would you guys like to see for this reboot?

Ugh I mean it’s not a horrible plot it’s just I was really hoping it would be a reboot that follows the books. Clearly the cheetah girls name is just being used for nostalgia bait, but this could be good for the new generation
