Is anyone familiar enough with Saugatuck/Holland that there may be any Beach Read locales worth checking out? I have a Saugatuck trip coming up and read Beach Read awhile ago (a bit hazy) and hope to make it out to Holland as well if time allows, but especially curious about the book shop. TY! Got my North Bear Shores sweatshirt ready to represent!
Chicago has had several in store events this season in celebration of two new stores. Curious if anyone has attended the earlier ones in Chicago or otherwise? The Green Mill was awesome but not in store.
There's still a couple coming up in August including one this Friday at Southport. I am an extended size so I don't often shop in store but wanted to hear if anyone had any experience with it? Is it worth me traveling about 30 minutes when likely there won't be anything that fits me?
Hello! I have relentlessly searched the sub but have not seen a comparison between these two models.
Some background info about my needs- I live on the top floor with a semi covered (wooden) porch in a densely populated area, and space is at a premium. I am also a renter who will need to move whichever I choose up 1.5 steps (5 ft tall woman) for grilling sessions to allow the air to circulate better, not to mention any subsequent apt moves, so I'm not looking for a BIFL situation.
I will mostly be cooking smaller cuts- sausages/burgers/veggies/chops/steaks- at most some bone in chicken pieces. I have no plans to smoke nor do long cooking due to the proximity of all my neighbors (I have my family's suburban house for that).
I am leaning towards Jumbo Joe and installing a better ash catcher, since it seems easier to move- but I am open to arguments for the 18" which I think is more aesthetically pleasing. Honestly if Weber had an 18" premium kettle model I wd go that way!
Also- other than a fire resistant grill mat underneath and a fire extinguisher are there any other precautions you all would recommend? There is nothing in my lease nor renters insurance not allowing me to grill, but I am open to any constructive ideas!
Looking for a recommendation for a home visit Vet Tech/Groomer or perhaps even an experienced cat sitter near Wicker Park. My very sweet senior tuxie needs nail trims but she has such severe anxiety around leaving the house and it's getting worse with age. Women/enbys preferred. She doesn't listen to me lol but all the groomers she has seen have had no issues with doing trims. If anyone has a recommendation I am very interested. TIA!
