my pool and about 16 others in the area are managed by a certain company. my sister and i work for different management companies. she was talking about being audited at her pool, and i asked what that was. she was really surprised to hear that my company doesn’t do audits on their guards. is this normal?
at this point are ANY of the current actresses gonna stay through the end? also such little notice for anna’s departure, but i understand that personal reasons can be very sudden.

started a chat with apple assistant about how my audio on my iphone 17 pro was having issues (lower than it should be in both my iphone speakers and airpods) and it said the cost to repair would be almost 600 dollars. i asked to speak to a real human, he first said that their would be no cost if it was a manufacturing defect, (i don't think it was a manufacturing defect because the audio only started having issues this morning), and i obviously asked how much it would be if there wasn’t a manufacturing defect, and he said it would need to be inspected first, so i feel like he was trying to dodge the question.

i don’t think people realize that we literally can’t look at people when they are asking a question. my PRIMARY responsibility is to keep people safe. i will always try to ask the patron to go to one of my co workers in the guard office, but they never listen.
does anyone have any advice? side note: there’s a cold front where i am currently so it’s gonna be raining and 54 degrees 😭 what a great start
i just recently got certified, and i'm starting my first lifeguarding job in about a month. will i have to buy/bring these materials myself, or will they be provided? this is for a private pool (meaning not operated by the county) in maryland.
EDIT: i WAS able to keep my cpr mask from my certification course. i just wasn't sure if they would provide me with one or if they would ask me to bring my own.
