Withdraw headaches

I was weaned off pristiq 75 mg in about four weeks. I’ve been off pristiq completely for a week now. The brain zaps and insomnia have been awful but getting better. However the headaches have been WORSE. Since being off I’ve had head aches so bad I’ve thrown up. Do they get better?😵‍💫

Feeling sick after eating?

I started Wellbutrin this week. I am also currently being weaned off of pristiq (this will be my last week on it). Since starting Wellbutrin I’ve noticed feeling sick to my stomach anytime I eat. I’ve also noticed when I am hungry it’s harder for me to want to eat bc it’s almost like a nauseating feeling as well. Has anyone else experienced this?

Found out my boyfriend has gHSV1

Coming here bc idk where else to turn to. My bf and I have been together for 4 months and have had unprotected sex for about 5 months now. I found out recently that he tested positive for genital HSV 1 ab 5 years ago. He states he hasn’t had any flare ups or anything since his first outbreak. He isn’t on any daily meds and we haven’t used condoms since like week 2 of us being sexually involved. Someone having herpes was never a deal breaker for me but I’m beyond upset he hid this from me for so long. I’m not sure what to do. Not sure what to do about my relationship or my health. I have no signs of having it myself however I know that doesn’t mean I may never now that ik I’ve been exposed to it. Do I get blood test done? I know they can be inaccurate. Am I supposed to be put on antivirals? I’m at a loss..

Spotting after orgasm copper IUD

Hi:) I have the paragard. I’ve had a long standing issue with bleeding since having it inserted back in August. However my cycles have since regulated and I only really bleed on my period and spot a couple days prior.
Recently I’ve noticed that every time I have sex, I spot afterwards. If it’s closer to the start or end of my period it’s a bit heavier but it happens outside of that window as well. I figured it was from my cervix getting irritated from being hit, but this wasn’t really an issue until the last month or 2? Well I’ve been monitoring the spotting as I have an appointment coming up to talk ab these concerns, and I realized I’ve spotted after any orgasm even without penetration.

The spotting never last long but it’s definitely consistent with my sex life. I’m assuming this isn’t normal? My doctor didn’t really want me to try the paragard to begin with bc of all the bleeding side effects, but at the time it was the best choice for my mental health. If she suggests taking it out without seeing if it’s misplaced, should I? Or should I advocate to have an ultrasound done?

I’m considering switching to the birth control patch, but I’m wanting to try it with my paragard in (if possible) before I commit to having the iud removed. Aside from the bleeding issues and cramps on my period, I’ve not had any other issues from it.

Advice ????

anhedonia not improving?

Sorry in advance for the rambling. It’s hard to put into words what I’m experiencing because i have only ever experienced anhedonia within the last year.

I started taking pristiq in November for depression. My doctor started me off at 25mg and I felt like it made little difference aside from slightly improving my tempting thoughts. He increased it to 50mg, and that’s when I felt a noticeable improvement in my mood regulation and just my mood overall. However, I was still constantly exhausted. It felt like the same depressive exhaustion as before. I was worried that maybe part of it was the cold winter weather but my doctor and I decided trying 75mg was worth a try. I have been on 75mg for about 12 weeks now. Overall my mood and energy feels normal but I’ve noticed it’s still hard for me to want to do things??? Very few things interest me enough to want to do them. Even things I loved doing prior to my severe depressive episode. I hadn’t mentioned it my doctor bc I figured this is how normal people felt on the daily. Now that it’s warmer and I’ve been getting out more I’ve realized that’s not the case. Not only is it hard for me to want to do things, but when I’m actively doing them, I find no overall pleasure in them. It’s like I can feel joy in a moment and then it’s gone as fast as it came. When I’m with my friends or doing things I used to enjoy I kinda catch myself being on autopilot. I don’t want to be there and it’s bc I’m not enjoying myself but I push through it anyways bc I WANT to want it. If that makes sense? Within the last couple of weeks I have noticed that I have lost interest in things that felt like instant gratification like doomscrolling on TikTok. I don’t really have interest in even wanting to eat most days bc nothing sounds appealing. At times I feel like I’m almost restless. Bc even when I try to force myself to do something I would typically enjoy, it feels like a chore to do it.

I’m not sure this is normal but I also don’t know how to relay this to my doctor. I’m not sure what direction I should go in either. I know their are other medications I could try, given that pristiq is the first one I’ve ever tried, but I worry about getting that low again.

Has anyone else had this issue? How should I address this with my doctor?

Delaying period while having paragard PLEASE HELP

I have the paragard copper iud and it has made my periods MISERABLY heavy. Most days I’ll bleed through a super tampon in 1-2 hours. My periods prior to paragard were significantly shorter and lighter. I rarely ever filled a regular tampon.

With that being said😵‍💫😵‍💫 I have a beach trip coming up the first week of July. I started my period June 6 and I’m still currently on it as of June 10. My cycles are pretty regular and ab 28 days sometimes a couple days less. So the likelihood of me being on my period while on my trip is high. I don’t want to be miserable with cramps and anxious ab bleeding through my bathing suit.

I know there are prescriptions that delay periods but I worry if my period comes a little early it will be useless to take them. Is it possible to delay my period if I started a pill pack before I ovulate? Are there any other ways to delay my period or at bare minimum lighten it up for that week?

Will dying my hair black at home hinder getting it lightened in the fall?

I think my natural hair color is around a level 3. In most lightings it looks like a dull black. I am wanting to be a level 2 black for summer. I feel like it looks much richer when I’m tan in the warmer months. Im wanting to do something temporary for summer bc I am saving to do pink in the fall. I unfortunately cannot afford to get my hair done now and in fall by a professional. (I have a lot of hair lol.) I’ve heard lightening your hair after black dye can be very difficult which is what I don’t want. If my hair is already naturally dark, is that still the case? My hair texture is coarse(I believe I have 1c hair) so going lighter can already take time and effort. I don’t want to add on more obstacles for my hair😅

Ive looked at semi permanent hair color and with how dark my hair already is, I’m not sure it would even work to go darker.
I’ve also looked at demi permanent color at Sally’s which in theory sounds like the route I’d want to go. However I cannot find anything online about lifting black demi permanent on already natural dark hair.
To my understanding Demi is supposed to fade over time anyway. However I’ve only come across stories of people with level 5+ hair having issues with it not fading or lifting properly.
If I did my own hair with supplies from Sally’s, would I have issues lightening it later?
Also dye recommendations???

Note to add: The girl that does my hair normally has put a level 2 gloss over my hair and it has faded to what it is now. First pic. With the gloss. Second pic after fading.

How heavy is too heavy during periods?

I got the paragard inserted in August 2025. I had continuous bleeding (daily) until about mid January 2026. It was light and I managed getting by just wearing thin small pads every day. My cycle has since regulated. I feel like each period since February has only gotten heavier. I knew heavier and longer periods were a risk for the paragard but I didn’t think it would be this drastic.

I’ve been bleeding completely through super sized tampons every 1.5-2 hours. I also have to wear a pad while using tampons bc of this. I have considered going up in tampon size but the super ones are already a bit uncomfortable.
Prior to this iud, my periods were 3 days and super light. Most of the time I could get by with light tampons without bleeding through. So going from that to 5-6 day long constant heavy flow is kinda scary to me.

I want to add that I don’t really spot between periods unless I have had sex but the spotting only last a couple of hours. I’m also not sure that is normal either.

Should I be concerned ab the drastic difference between my old period and now? Should I be concerned at all ab the flow? I don’t want to make an appointment to see my doctor just for her to tell me it’s normal if it is normal for most others. Outside of the heavy periods and spotting after sex I have had no other issues.

Has anyone dealt with their hair growing a new color?

I’m not sure what is going on with my hair. My (24f) hair is naturally dark. Probably between a level 2-3. I did a big chop over a year ago and have been working on growing it out and embracing my natural hair instead of applying products and heat.

As I was brushing my hair the other night I noticed one of my hairs were lighter than the rest. I thought it was a gray hair bc of how out of place it looked against the rest of my hair. As I singled the strand out I realized it was not gray but instead like a ginger color???

Not only was it ginger but it also wasn’t the whole strand. From the root to ab an inch of growth was ginger and the rest was my natural dark hair. Upon finding this I decided to search my whole head. And there were random strands all over my head.

The only thing I have found on the internet is that it could be from the sun.. however some strands are on the parts of my scalp that don’t really see sunlight..

That being said, has anyone had this happen to them? Is this a sign I might start getting gray hair soon? The photo doesn’t do justice but hopefully it gives context to what I’m trying to explain.
