Last night

Husband flew us out to see and have dinner with my mom. Had a phenomenal dinner at the Mayflower.

Will someone help me wrap my pea brain around alchemy?

Hey all, returning player from BFA era and I am having a hard time with the new alchemy system.

What I am trying to understand:
-How to get enough of the abundance currency to craft the epic gear that gives bonus crafting skill, can you only farm it 1x a week?

-How do I get my skill up enough to craft rank 2 potions? Do I have to just wait for my concentration to build back up every day, this is why there is an ‘alt army’ term?

-is it worth it to go around and collect all the recipes for the first time craft?

-Can I increase my skill level by just grinding and crafting one potion? I just wanted to save money on my potions of recklessness!

Would you have grabbed these freebies? What would you do with them?

Hi all. We found these freebies that were made in between art deco and MCM.
What would you do to maximize profit? They need a ton of work. Like chewed drawers, mouse damage inside of where the drawers sit, some gouges. Doable, as my aunt has been doing this for a while, but for a noob like me, repairing and sanding + painting seems like a good option? What would you do?

Calling upon the experts

Hi all, I picked up this pottery barn coffee table and end table for free.
There’s some gashes in it so I need to fill them in.
Should I strip this? My husband said not to bother since it’s most likely vaneer. I wanted to strip and sand and then stain the top, but he said it won’t really be possible since it’s not solid wood.

What would you do with this?

Struggling as a SAHM living with in-laws

Hello! This post is just a vent. Not looking for anything but to see if anyone else has been in this situation, and to see if you found a light at the end of the tunnel.

I want to preface this by saying my in laws are very kind to me, and I am extremely grateful for them letting us stay here.

I am 25 now, when I was 23 and a senior in college I found out I was pregnant. My place of work gave everyone housing and paid very well, I could have stayed working there and worked on the weekends while my mom took care of the baby, but my fiancée got himself kicked out due to a fight with the neighbor (wasn’t his fault, the guy assaulted my fiancée, assaulted me while I was pregnant etc… an entirely different story).

After that, we moved in with his parents while he got his hours needed to fly for corporate / commercial airlines and I took care of our baby.

My MIL is disabled and can’t really move, I feel terrible for her, and feel for her as much as I can, but she gets cranky and takes it out on her husband / son (my fiancée, we aren’t married for insurance purposes btw). This means there’s constant tension and arguments. It’s so exhausting walking on eggshells.

They get pissed when I try to bring my baby to anyone else’s house during holidays. Mother’s Day was a huge problem because my fiancée and I were going to go out to dinner (my mom was in town wanted to spend the day with my baby). Even though we spent the morning with her, she wanted to have dinner with her son as well. Christmas was also a huge problem, because my MIL demanded the baby be at the house to see my fiancées aunt who was in town for a couple weeks. Keep in mind, we had already had dinner with her a few times.

I guess the breaking point was the other day, when we asked them to spend an hour with the baby, so we could grab an ice cream and have a moment together. They were pissed that we didn’t invite them to come with us and didn’t want to watch her, instead stormed off to get ice cream themselves lol. They are in no way expected to watch our daughter, I just don’t know why they go on and on about how much help we have, but they won’t really watch her often. They watch her once every few months so we can have an hour together, which I am grateful for, but it would be nice to have time with my fiancée without his parents around.

I guess I just feel like I don’t have a relationship anymore. They get so annoyed and passive aggressive when we don’t spend dinner time with them every night. We never have alone time and it’s really making me resent my fiancée.

Lately he’s been pressuring me to work too so that we can get out of this situation, but daycare is upwards of 2,000 a month in MA.

I hate to sound like I’m complaining about having a roof over my head and a safe place for my daughter and I to stay. There’s just so many boundaries crossed.
I beg them not to turn on kids shows for her, but they do anyways, then they get mad when I leave the house with her or go outside (I don’t want her sitting in front of the tv).
She has chronic constipation so I ask them not to give her crackers etc, but when I’m not looking they give her things that I’ve explained very nicely make her constipated and cause problems.

It’s just such a stark contrast, since I had been living alone for years before we moved in with them.

I don’t have any family near me, I don’t really have a dad who wants to be involved in my life, and my mom lives 3 hours away. She can’t even come in the house, for some reason they aren’t huge fans of her, so I don’t have my mom to fall back on and help me ‘reset’ when I need help organizing her playroom or with the endless laundry.

I know I need to pull my big girl pants up and stick it out, but there’s no end in sight and I’m just looking for solidarity.

When will I see info in charm portal?

Hi all! I paid for my meds last Tuesday, I still don’t see them in my portal, or my invoice. I’m wondering when I will be able to see information about my subscription. I’m getting kind of worried because it’s been almost a week and I have had no update.

Thank you! Sorry for being a worry wart.
