As a writer myself, I think that happiness is the least inspiring emotional state to be in. When I'm truly happy and blessed and everything's going well, I just don't reach for my journal because I simply have nothing to say.

Taylor uses songwriting as a therapeutic tool. It's a way for her to process complex emotion. Her best projects were born from a place of "wtf just happened, let me try to make sense of it by writing about it"** ex ( atw, ttpd, red, folklore and evermore), and her worst projects came from a place of "i need to write the next big pop hit"

This encore was proof to me that she's desperately trying to get inspiration wherever she can. A song about a conversation with her friends, a song reflecting on her past, a song about a universal experience, and another Travis song. She can't write truthfully about her marriage cuz she needs to protect it, so we're stuck with basic lever "this is my man and he loved me and he married and also fuck the haters"

I'm still hopeful thats she'll find her footing for ts13, I personally hope she goes back to storytelling. She can pretend to write about other people, and we can pretend to believe her 😅

My OG starter randomly died on me one day for no apparent reason. I tried everything to revive her including my backup dehydrated started but nothing worked. Good thing I kept a detailed log of how i made it so i can follow the same steps again. My OG was ready in just 9 days, and was strong and reliable in under a month, hopefully doughja-vu is just as great ! Im still curious to find iut what killed my starter though.

I have this vivid memory from the early 2000s (probably before her debut) of who i think is taylor performing at a talent show as a contestant, the judges complemented her a lot and one of them said something like "she can sing, plays piano and guitar, and there's definitely a place in the industry for a white girl who can do that" it must've been shortly before Tim Mcgraw came out. I remember seeing her music video for the first time on MTV and thinking "oh this is that girl from the talent show." Did this actually happen, or did I mistake her with someone else
