Taylor Swift bridal dress ideas/inspiration

What style of dress(es) do you think Taylor will wear? Which designer? 🤍

A reminder for SOME people

Taylor Swift is an exceptionally incredible artist. Her storytelling, emotionally resonant lyrics, and ability to evolve across genres: from country to pop, indie folk, alternative, and beyond is one of the many things that makes her so talented.

That’s why it’s exhausting for me seeing people insist that someone else wrote Taylor’s music/songs. There’s extensive documentation of her songwriting process, official writing credits, collaborators who have described how she works, and even behind-the-scenes footage of her writing songs herself. Dismissing her work without evidence ignores all of that.

Criticizing an artist’s music is one thing. Claiming she doesn’t write her own songs despite the available evidence is another. It also reflects a double standard that female artists have often faced throughout the music industry. 🙄

2 years ago today, Taylor and Travis walked out together after the Dublin N3 concert that Travis surprised her at during her Folkmore set

Not a typo! Folkmore is Folklore and Evermore combined. We've come so far, and I'm so excited for two of my favorite people.

Trivia is fun!

In recognition of the crazy week we're in, I cooked something up this morning because who doesn't love busywork. I personally love statistics. Points are actually accrued. My test subject got 105/280 so please someone break that record.

I am admitting that this is off-topic but I found it fun to make and to take. I'll leave it up and see where it goes. The highest scorer(s) will, of course, get a custom flair.

I do want to communicate something on behalf of the moderators. We are working our hardest in order to ensure that this subreddit maintains core values and that we do not fall into the trap of misinformation, speculation, and rumours. Please be patient and you are always welcome to share your concerns or questions in Mod Mail.

I thought I saw you at the bus stop

Hi, friends, Romans and country people. I ran across this picture of a sidewalk cafe in New York City named Bus Stop Cafe and it hit me that she wasn't necessarily talking about an actual bus stop in The 1. Now, it may very well be that she was, but seeing this made me think it's possible she was talking about this or a similarly named cafe or bar.

edit to add: if you click the link and click the pictures, it cycles the pictures to show the cafe as it looks from the street and it's sign. Sorry I didn't know how to post the picture on this post directly, it kept saying images not allowed.

Non-swiftie who needs help finding a song

Ok, yesterday I was in an uber on the way to a date and my uber driver was playing Taylor Swift songs and one came on and I absolutely loved it. To me it didn't sound like a typical taylor song (at least her most popular ones) but I was really digging it and I need help finding it. I tried finding it but I barely know any words, only a melody. Hopefully you guys can help me. It was a slower song, she is singing her ass off in it and she sounds beautiful. I don't think it's one of her more popular ones, though I think it should be. She says something about you dont want to know me now? And something about burning bridges to the ground. That's literally all I know...i've been thinking about that song for the past 24 hours and need to listen to it again. Also, would love some more song recommendations by her that sound similar. Help a girl out!

Which 5 songs would you have submitted to the Songwriter's Hall of Fame?

As a reminder, she submitted:

  1. All Too Well (10 Minute Version)
  2. Blank Space
  3. Anti-Hero
  4. Love Story
  5. the last great american dynasty

What would you have instinctively chosen? Are there any of these that surprised you?

What lyric really pushed it to the top!?
