He was the size of a Pomeranian when he was brought home. He use to be just a ball of fluff with eyes lol.

But his face is so slender. Do you think he has rough collie in him too or no?

His name is Sweetpea! He is a fluffy Syrian hamster. 🐹 I believe he is about 8 months old. Maybe older. The person I got him from didn’t tell me.

His enclosure is kept in a closet with no door in the hinges to keep him away from high traffic areas,and the lights are not usually on like this I just moved a lamp around so y’all could see.
(Also it’s a little messy but that’s just from him moving around so much,and his bowl looks like his diet is lack luster but that’s just because he doesn’t favor those specific pieces that are in his feed mix,so he leaves behind those pieces often)
He has a large sand bath
Aspen shavings foraging bowl
Cardboard foraging bowl
Rose petal foraging bowl
Mason jar foraging area
Orchard grass hay area with spray and sometimes I hide treats in there as well
Sphagnum moss
10 inches of bedding (some places a little more and outside the multichamber it’s much less as you can see.)

Several different sprays throughout the enclosure
Slate rock to cool off and for texture and an extra,small sand bath outside his wheel under the bridge where he enjoys cooling off and digging around after running
Multi chamber hideout full of bedding (his bedding is a mix of unbleached paper and aspen shavings
A bridge which also provides little hideouts underneath that I made with cardboard
And his favorite place to sleep is his shoebox which is full of a substrate called coco husk from bucastate, he has also moved some of his moss into it snd bedding where he sleeps and hides his seeds.

Hey! Excuse the poor quality photo of my longhair Syrian! What seed mix do you feed your hamsters? I feed “sunseed hamster and gerbil mix” and oxbow’s hamster and gerbil garden select. I also feed dried veggies,and mealworms/super worms once a week. (Super worm once every two weeks) and occasionally a small piece of fresh cucumber or parsley. 🌿 does this seem appropriate? He also has sprays throughout his enclosure but only has a liking for one specific kind,besides corn. 🌽 what do y’all think? And I’m curious to know what y’all feed yours as well.

He’s so adorable! Not worried for him or anything just noticed that if he is only taking a power nap,he sleeps on his wheel after running on it sometimes. I thought it was adorable and wanted to share!

What do y’all think? It was my first time making it, chicken is super moist and tender. But the noodles came out a little too firm for my liking.

I am looking for seed mixes for my hamster! I’m a new hamster owner. Just got him this week. He has been eating “oxbow garden select” and he favors this treat stick that is a collection of seeds and dried strawberries. I will provide photos below.
