I have a hard enough time with "regular" sized houses, but everyone posting their awesome 8x3 Challenge builds gave me so much hope! Sadly, nothing happens when I click harvest, but has this worked for anyone? I just happened upon this when I sent my Para to collect a crystal, I hovered over the tree just because it was close to the crystal, I noticed it had an "outline" to it so I clicked it and got this option. I can't wait for this to be functional 💜

In Sims 4 I was always so mad there was nothing I could do about the steps showing through the wall, I would spend forever finding ways to try and cover them as best I could. YA'LL! Just increase the wall thickness and problem solved! I used to spend hours in build mode in Sims 4 trying to get around road blocks, now I spend hours in Paralives because there is so many customizations that I can't decide! 💜

P.S. never mind the mish mash of colors and textures I have going on, it takes me a long time to settle on something so it's a free for all while I decide 😂

I’ll go first…

TLDR: I lost a husband and a mother and a sister

My divorce was final July 2025…things were never the same after I found out my now ex husband voted for trump in 2016…nothing ever pointed to him supporting this kind of behavior…lesson learned: always have the conversation of political leanings before you marry someone even if you think you know them.

My mother went full maga in 2016…and it’s even more ironic for me because she is the reason, in a mostly conservative family, that I am liberal/independent/libetarian in my beliefs—she’s the classic 60s/70s flower child hippie. She was a surgical RN and went to other countries frequently with Doctors Without Borders, she spent her time befriending others down on their luck and sympathizing with those downtrodden by the man…I grew up watching this and that shaped who I am today. I still can’t wrap my head around why she would go full blown maga…we haven’t talked in about 3-4 years now.

My sister…she doesn’t come straight out and openly support trump when we talk, but she does when her and my mother talk etc…she is maga but tries to hide it from me, but still, we don’t talk much these days. I have no other siblings, it was just the two of us.

The most ironic twist in all of this…my dad voted from trump in 2016 because he’s a Republican and was simply not going to ever vote outside of party lines. He gave him a chance, and we all know how that turned out. He openly speaks out against trump and maga and is now a Republican without a home basically. Also, my parents have been divorced over 40 years now so this isn’t happening in the same house.

So, this whole time I thought I was lucky when one of my Sims turned out to be a lefty - cuz I'm a lefty and it's so "rare"...anyway, I discovered she was a lefty when she was studying a plant and was taking notes left handed (I started her life as a YA so no school was in play).

Fast forward to many Sims years later, and I am playing a family with triplets - so one day I follow them to school, and all the seats are full so they stand, and proceed to take notes...left handed.

I was confused because when they do their homework it is right handed. So, the experiment ensued, and as you can see...apparently when Sims stand (like to paint!) they are lefties, and when they sit they are right handed. 🤯

I repeated the process twice with other Sims and it's the same, who knew? Well, I am sure everyone but me did 😆
