Any MD recommendations? I’m desperate and my symptoms are getting worse — I’m really panicking and scared (this started almost a year ago).

I saw Dr. Moldwin twice — first time he was OK, second time he was rude and just mean (don’t want to give examples publicly but he didn’t offer me other options aside from the implant which seemed scary and seemed unwilling to figure out what was causing the pain).

I want an MD who’s willing to try and treat the issue which has gotten more severe over time instead of just throwing pain management at me.

Please send any MD suggestions! I’m just feeling so alone and scared in this. I don’t know how else to describe it.

I’m looking for advice, things to know, and general information as I’m looking to start a cleaning business in the NJ area.

Hi! I took one dose of 5mg buspar a few nights ago. A day later I felt itchy and burning by my labia — in addition to it being all red. I’ve never experienced it before.

Hey BWT! I’m looking for a social media strategist for a small and growing female owned business in the beauty industry.

The position would be executing a strategy, shooting/editing content, and managing Instagram/TikTok. Business is located in Brooklyn, but this would be a part time position (with most of it being done remotely).

Apologies if this is a silly question and starting off by saying I am not a clinician nor do I work in the mental health sphere.

A lot of the therapists I’ve seen (NYC/NJ) don’t take insurance. They’re charging $150-$300+ a session.

The therapists (in my experience) who take insurance can’t provide the same level of care. I also understand that accepting insurance and keeping a reasonable caseload is difficult for clinicians as reimbursement rates are low.

My question is — what is the path forward? Mental health treatment needs (like weekly therapy) are only going to continue to rise IMO, and reimbursement is going to stay the same or go lower, and the number of clinicians accepting insurance will decline.

What are some possible options?

I don’t see insurance increasing reimbursement rates but I don’t see the current path as it is as sustainable either.

Following up on my last post about how downhill the show has gone — I’ve put some serious thought into what the next best steps writers can take (I know I’m taking this too seriously), but here is:

1. ⁠Break Up Severide/Stella: it’s too boring, too predictable, no chemistry, no heartbreak, no emotions. We’re tired of it. Get Stella off the show and bring back Brittany Baker (who he married in Vegas) and have them remarry — she was the most interesting (and closest to) non-Shay relationship Severide has had — or bring in another relationship similar to Shay and let his wild side come back out.
2. ⁠Bring Boden Back. I get budget cuts are a thing, but if they kick Stella, the have the $ to bring Boden back. Either way, the best/cheapest way for the show to recover would be to bring Boden back. It can re-instate so many new relationships and create so many new dynamics that have been missing.

Going back and doing a rewatch of Chicago fire, and it’s so sad to see how truly downhill it’s gone. Aside from the usual of we don’t see most characters due to budget cuts, I’ve also noticed:

1. Multiple storylines over several episodes (for example in S2/E17: Jones as a firefighter/Casey and Boden being forced to “nick” her, dispatch being weird with Dawson, Dawson trying to pass as a firefighter, Severide and Katie/Katie and Otis/Katie being kidnapped, Shay’s death.

2. Emotional depth — we used to get scenes and episodes showing different emotions, like where Casey uncovers the dad who shielded his family by laying over them, Herman’s vasectomy/birthday party at Mollys, Severide after Shay’s death, etc. the emotion would go high and low and actually make you feel something throughout one episode. If you don’t believe me go watch any episode in season 1 or 2 and you’ll see the difference.

3. General lack of variety: in earlier episodes we used to see all types of interesting events and scenes — it was a lot less predictable (ie the storylines with Shay’s girlfriends, Benny randomly showing up, Severide sleeping around constantly). We need some stuff like that.

4. Lack of friendships among characters — we used to see multiple dynamics and friendships like Casey/severide, Casey/severide/boden, severide/shay, Casey/dawson, Otis/cruz — now you just don’t have that anymore in a real way. There are like 2-3 cliches and they are repeated without any depth or unusual interactions.

5. Variety of settings — we used to see scenes in the coat closet, bathroom, laundry room, outside the garage (Casey and severide smoking cigars), at galas/random events, Squad table— we just don’t see that anymore. Obviously we barely see any fires anymore but that’s a seperate story.

I think to get Chicago fire back to where it was (if at all possible) the writers need to go back to seasons 1-3 and watch them, study them, and go back to the roots. They’re going to loose the show if they keep it as it is.

And as a side point — why can’t we get more references to Boden/Shay/Otis/Casey? They were a foundational part of 51 and it’s weird that they aren’t mentioned.

Visiting hunter mountain and looking for cute towns to explore, especially with good coffee (vintage shops are a plus). I’m aware of the options in Kingston but was hoping for something within 30 min or so. Any ideas?

Visiting Atlantic City (staying at Borgata) and want to try some local spots. I enjoy dark espresso, and appreciate visiting different roasters (or if not roasters, at least independently owned coffee shops).

What are the best recommendations in this area? Open to driving 10-15 minutes away from the hotel for something good. No Starbucks or chain recommendations please! Thanks :)
