I’ve spent the last 3 years in Australia and flying directly over, have 3 months booked in an air BnB in the west end so accommodation isn’t an immediate stresser I suppose

Auburn box dyes for warm spring?

Hi all, does anyone have any recommendations for box dye shades for a warm spring? Light skin tone with hazel eyes. I tried a wash in/out copper tone recently and it was definitely too bright for me so I am leaning more towards the darker shades but don’t want to go too far in the wrong direction! Natural colour is a 6/7 light brown/dark blonde. I really want to enhance the “goldenness” that comes with springs 😊

What actually happens next re jobs?

So we all know it’s happening and the multitude of reasons why, but what actually happens next with the employment issues people are experiencing world wide? Is there a rise and a fall like there is with economies..? Although this seems out of the norm and ai, migration levels etc are at levels they never were before.. does the bubble burst? And if not genuinely what happens. I need someone smarter than me to explain because I’m just not sure how the next few years will look? I’m only 29 but I’m very glad to not be a new graduate..

Level 6? Wanting to go level 8 box dye

My hair always ends up in this same look because I don’t go to the hairdresser enough.. is it possible to go a few shades lighter at home with box dye, where I can just do my roots at home? Any recommendations

Possibly can’t move my baby abroad

Not really advice I guess but took him in to get his travel shots and they found a heart murmur. His proBNP result: 294 pmol/L (normal should be under 100) so more tests to follow but I have been told he might not be able to go on the long haul flight (Australia - Scotland). He seems to be a perfectly healthy 6 year old and I’ve just been in tears the whole evening.. it’s just me and him and I love him so much I just can’t imagine leaving him behind.. I’m so devastated and just pray his echo reveals it is something treatable ☹️

Why don’t Wales and Ireland share the same kinship as Scotland and Ireland?

As an Irish person it’s just something I’ve noticed recently.. there seems to be less of a relationship, is it just because of history/less migration and crossover? We’re both celts, I’ve never heard anything negative about the Welsh and you all seem like good fun and yet it’s generally crickets. In fact I’ve only met one Welsh person in all my travels, you are a mysterious bunch and I’m quite intrigued

Why don’t we have the same kinship with wales?

Seeing a lot about the Irish and Scottish relationship recently, got me wondering about the Welsh.. they seem so mysterious, you never hear much about them and I’ve only met one in all my travels. Aren’t they considered celts too? They also seem sound, good craic and the same unwillingness to be considered English/be put in the same basket as the English. Why is there less of a relationship, is it because of less migration/crossover?

Short women and trench coats

I’m 5ft 1, and whenever I’ve tried on a trench coat it always looks wrong, like I’m borrowing someone’s else’s jacket. I wouldn’t say I have this problem with other long coats, like rain jackets or a smart wool type one. Why is this, and does anyone have any suggestions?

Has anyone tried skipping?

I had a quick google and it reckons 10 mins of skipping can burn 130 calories (I’m 138pounds/63kg in 5 ft 1).. I’m wanting to lose around 10kg and eating 1205 cals a day at the moment. Has anyone used skipping as their only forms of exercise? I don’t particularly enjoy the gym, it’s cold dark and wet where I’m living at the moment and just want a quick exercise I can get in on my balcony that doesnt necessary feel like exercise 😅

Travelling from Australia

Should I fly into London - Glasgow or go Edinburgh - Glasgow?

Probably makes the most sense to fly into Edinburgh but it’s only just occurred to me lol

Edinburgh flight $200 more but would save me approx 2 hours. Same airlines regardless

What are some characteristics of Scottish people?

I’m Irish and just read a thread over on that page about “what about Irish people perplexes you, good or bad” and it was pretty much all negative, the “it’ll be grand” attitude, not being direct, cutting people down who have aspirations, being sort of fake nice etc. I’m sure we have some crossovers..
