I’m reading beach read for the first time (3/4 of the way through) and when I was reading Pete’s part I instantly thought of her as Tig Notaro, I can’t even explain why was just a feeling. It doesn’t say who she is cast as but I’m hoping it is Pete 🤞🏼
For me it’s this one, I laugh every single time
Same with Jess’s “hi I’m the maid of honour but when I fell down the stairs I wish I was made of rubber.” Tbe delivery and silence after is amazing.
Growing up I was a huge fan of the movies, used to watch them on repeat. Then finally this year I got HBO max and decided to watch the show from the beginning.
I thought it would take me a while to get into it but I was hooked from the first episode
Each character so far (not that anyone asked for it)
Carrie: Carrie really seems to self sabotage her life quite a bit. I go through times of loathing her and loving her. I can not stand her and big together I think he is so toxic and so is she sometimes. Loved her and Aidan together, he seems like a really cool guy. I wish she would just let herself be happy instead of questioning everything. And let’s be real she isn’t the greatest friend in my opinion, yes at times she’s great but she always finds a way to bring it back to herself. I think Sarah Jessica Parker does an incredible job of acting.
Charlotte: in the films Charlotte was my favourite by far, I adored her but in the show I find her quite frustrating. I understand that she wants the white picket fence lifestyle and that is totally fine but I find it hard when she criticises her friends for not wanting the same thing. I think it does come from a good place in her heart, she just doesn’t always communicate that well. And her and Trey, what a train wreck, I can not stand him I think he is toxic and so is his mother. I have enjoyed her the most in season 4 because she is finally standing up for herself and setting boundaries.
Miranda: our boss lady queen. In the films I really did not like her, I found her annoying and a bit whiny but in the show I have really enjoyed her. I think she has similar tendencies to Carrie in terms of self sabotaging especially when it came to Steve (who I like but do agree he needed to grow up), it seems she too struggles to let her self be happy. I love the way she is honest with her friends but not to a point of being horrible; I think her and Carrie can be sometimes egg each other on in an unhealthy way. I think I have enjoyed her dating life the most, she has had some very interesting dates.
Samantha: I’m always on the fence about Ms jones, I liked her season 3 but every other season I change my opinion on her episode to episode. I think it’s incredible how she is so confident in her sexuality and the way she is with men (and the one woman 😉) but on the other hand i think sometimes it’s a bit much. I think because I know the background stuff that happened while filming SATC my issues with Samantha sometimes come from Kim Cattral herself.
In saying all of this, they all have their flaws and things that Excell in. It was and still is such an incredible show and it covers so many important topics. My favourite episodes so far have been when all of them went to LA, Charlotte becoming too obsessed with her vibrator and the one where Samantha dates the short guy 😂
I especially love how Phoebe has done her hair with that outfit!
I’m not talking the usual ones that people think haven’t been said before ie Phoebe is a bad friend etc. I want you to make my jaw drop.
I could watch this video everyday until I die and still love it
“Sell the baby?”
“No sell the story.”
“Oh”
The episode with the one with two parts part 2 when George Clooney and Noah Wyle say “we brought wine from the cellars of Ernest and Tova Borgnine.”
I can’t not find an explanation on google
I have never ever seen Catelyn talk about Tyler the way he talks about her, especially with his mum. Seeing this on TV if I was her would break my heart.
These are my ones, no matter how many times I hear them it just sounds so good
On my millionth rewatch and only just realised how messed up this line is
I would say any from the reigning Lorelai
“Count your toes lately.” “Our eyes? What we both have two of them.”
Or Emily calling Lorelai “I need the hat rack.” Lorelai: “the fish fly at night.” 😂
Oh also Paris and Rory soaking wet, classmate “oh is it raining.” Paris “no it’s national baptism day, tie your tubes idiot.”
EDIT: why is everyone commenting with pictures? I love it but I’m so confused hahaha
Can someone explain to me how Stephan knew all of that stuff about Lydia if Lucy didn’t tell him? The stuff about how old she was when she lost her virginity etc
It’s been driving me crazy since the first time I saw her, I have checked the actresses IMBD at least 20 times and none of it is familiar, same with Stephan’s sister. Can someone help me out on who she looks like? Google is no help!
EDIT: thank you Reddit family! Y’all found who I was thinking of!
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Love this whole episode
My mum has always seen snippets of Gilmore girls while I watched it and liked it, so I decided one day to start her from the start. It has been so much fun, it’s taken almost a year seeing as I don’t live at home.
I want to do something special for the last episode and I’m looking for some ideas.
Would love some ideas on what snacks, what drinks, it’s winter here in New Zealand so it will be nice and cosy. I want it to match the Gilmore girls vibe!!

For me for some reason whenever Rory calls someone “missy” or “mister” it just makes me cringe. And the scene when Rory is going to show the student from chilton Anna around the campus and she makes her smell a book 😂😭
