I took a Greyhound from the Toronto show to Rochester, where I pitched a tent in the parking lot. Got really close on Jerry’s side.

Also ran into a friend of mine from NYC at the show who had been in a bike accident two days before and I almost didn’t recognize his damaged face lol. He’s fine and was the best man at my wedding.

6/30/87

6/30/87. Not the best show by any stretch, but I had a real good time at it!

(Thanks Bob Minkin) Edit: or whoever the hells site I ripped these off from.

Huey Lewis & The News “Stop Trying”

The album is generally generic songs written heavily in the style of early Joe Jackson and Elvis Costello. But there are some minor gems in there.

Sitcom life in NY

Do any people and their friend groups live their lives like a real life sitcom? Such all hanging out together in the morning for breakfast then going off to work, entering your friends apartment without knocking, dating the same people in your circle?

Then there's the conversations... Mixed with humour, sarcasm and trivial first world problems.

Navigating the city like harmless fighting with someone over a cab, strange or eccentric neighbour or service worker at your local, general complaining about the city.

Where do sitcoms like Friends and Seinfeld get this stuff from?

What other aspects or mirror images do people do that I haven't mentioned?

I'm not some kind of sitcom enthusiast or expert, just curious if there are people who's lives are actually like this.

I was in town, so…….

Kind of sad that they were still having shows only twelve months ago.
