Is necromancer playable now?
Or do you still need to buy coa? Havent played in a long time
Is 50cm/360 on reactive worth training or should I raise sens
I've always sucked ass at tracking since most of my hours are ingame are in low ttk shooters, really struggling with getting reactive and control all the way to jade
Any tips?
Embark's design around quests, loot and key rooms makes zero fucking sense
Why is it that in the most successful extraction shooter on the market, Tarkov, the incentives you have for completing quests actually feel satisfying and worth your time?
- Trader reputation - Every time you complete a quest you know that you are gaining trader exp and eventually you will be able to level up and get access to buying a lot of new stuff that will make you significantly stronger.
Example: Completing Punisher - Part 1 gives you access to buying the sv-98 sniper from Prapor Level 2. Finishing this questline gives you a lucrative permanent expanded safe pocket.
What good reason is there honestly for Arc not to have a trader reputation system? Why shouldn't some quest be lucrative just for being able to unlock a daily lvl 4 osprey purchase from the trader? Why not increase the amount of things purchasable per day based on Trader level? These things make it feel worthwhile to go out of your way to do a quest.
- Barters/Junk Trades - When designing a looting system for an extraction shooter, one must think that at least it would make sense to look at what else is successful in the industry, right?
WHY THE FUCK DOESNT ARC HAVE BARTER TRADES?
This is a cornerstone of Tarkov's loot system, every single itty bitty random piece of shit you can find in that game makes you think twice.
Example: At first glance it's just some useless cigarettes you found in a drawer, on arrival back to the hideout you realize you can barter trade them for night vision goggles, you learn that even the most random things you could find might have some value you haven't learned about yet.
An energy saving lamp, useless right? Then you check the traders and make a mental note to pick those up to barter for grenades later.
I think part of this issue is that there isn't much loot diversity outside of things used only for crafts, though you could just allow Trinkets to be apart of daily rotating barters between traders and that would at least be a band-aid solution.
- Key Rooms - Some of they key rooms in Tarkov are so fucking good that people will adjust their route off spawn completely away from PVP power positions just to go contest some random room in whatever corner of the map it is in for a chance to get some highly valuable loot.
Example: Red Card on Labs, you could get easily trapped in a suicide hallway just trying to get in there but if you make it in and out you could have millions in your safe pocket, it makes it worthwhile to contest disadvantageous positions for loot instead of camping power positions for pvp all game.
The loot in key rooms in Arc are not even close to comparable, why would I rush to go loot the 1st floor Lobby Security key room when the best thing I might get is a broken osprey 1 and a ven 2? There isn't even an expensive item you could buttstash to make it worth for a second giving up the 3rd floor power position. Why would I bother looting the purple Cultural Archives key room when it means being late to run through business and snap into 3rd floor security?
- Conclusion - Unless you just want to do the quests or key rooms for the novelty of doing them the first time there really isn't a significant incentive outside of the one early quest for Trigger Nades, even then its an easily found blueprint in Loading Bay on Stella.
