i’m doing a little experiment and only changing one skincare thing this month

Normally i change my routine based entirely on vibes, which has made it impossible to know what actually works for me lol.

So for the next few weeks, i'm keeping everything the same except for one product and writing down how my skin looks.

Not expecting some groundbreaking scientific discovery, i just want to stop guessing 😭

I've also been using SkinPal AI to check things like changes in my acne, hydration, and other skin-related stuff along the way, so hopefully i can actually notice if something is improving instead of just convincing myself it looks different every other day lol.

Has anyone tried doing this properly? Did you actually learn anything useful or was it impossible to stay consistent?

Confession: I sometimes find out a product isn't vegan AFTER I've already bought it 😭

Okay this is slightly embarrassing but pls tell me I'm not the only one.
I'll be standing in the store, reading the front of the packaging like:
✨ cruelty-free
✨ natural
✨ clean beauty
✨ dermatologist tested
And my brain goes: yes, vegan probably
Then I get home and actually check the ingredients/brand policy properly and... nope 💀
WHY do some brands make this so unnecessarily confusing?? Like just tell me clearly 😭😭
I've also definitely spent way too long googling whether a brand is actually cruelty-free vs owned by a parent company vs sold somewhere that makes the whole situation complicated lol.
At this point I have approximately 17 tabs open just to buy a moisturizer.
Lately I've been trying to keep better track of the products I use and test, including putting my skincare stuff in one place with SkinPal AI, so I don't completely forget what I was using when my skin was actually doing well 😭
Full disclosure, I'm connected with SkinPal AI, so just putting that out there rather than pretending I randomly stumbled across it. But honestly the “wait... what products was I even using last month?” problem is very real for me lol.
How do you guys check before buying something? Do you have a website/app/list you always use, or are you also out here doing FBI-level research in the skincare aisle? 😭
And yes... I have absolutely bought something twice because I forgot whether I had already researched the brand before 🫠

At what point does “tracking skincare progress” become a full-time job? 😭

I swear skincare has turned me into a forensic investigator lol. Photo from Monday: “Okayyy I think the hyperpigmentation is fading.” Photo from Wednesday, taken like 4 cm closer to the window: “Never mind. My skin is ruined. Nothing has ever worked. I must begin a new life.” 💀
Then I compare both photos and realise: different lighting different angle different time of day one photo has moisturizer one photo looks like it was taken with a potato And then im like... how do normal people actually track if a product is working??
Do you guys use a spreadsheet? Notion? Just keep everything in one giant photo album? Or do you also just stare at your face every morning and let vibes decide if your skincare is working 😂
Because apparently I need to conduct a controlled clinical trial just to figure out if my moisturizer improved my skin by 2%.
pls tell me im not the only one doing this 😭

I used double frame app to capture different frames of the mountain in one take

i wanted both a wide landscape shot and a vertical frame for social media, so i used double
frame instead of recording twice.
it records two cameras at the same time and saves both videos separately, so i only had to
enjoy the moment once instead of repeating it for different aspect ratios.
this was all captured in a single take. i didn't have to choose between filming the mountain or
making a vertical version later.
does anyone else shoot different aspect ratios for different platforms, or is that just me?

Anyone changed their payment provider after your invoices got bigger?

We've been using the same platform for international client payments for about a year now and honestly haven't had many complaints.
The only reason I'm looking into other options now is because our invoice amounts have gone up quite a bit over the last few months. At this point even a small difference in pricing & FX charges starts adding up.
I'm currently using Skydo, but I haven't really compared it with anything else recently.
For anyone who's switched, did you actually notice a difference in what you received, or are most platforms pretty similar once you're dealing with larger payments?

Help me pick my favorite look

As soon as I got this wig, I wanted to try a "wet look" style because I felt the curl pattern was perfect for it. I also tried styling it to look a bit more voluminous, which turned out nicely too. I’d love your help deciding which look suits me better, or if you have any other styling suggestions?
